Guest guest
Hi , sorry to hear that you're having a hard time finding housing up in SF, even if you can find something decent it is very expensive there. I am down in the San Lorenzo Valley, Santa Cruz mountains? Anyway, have you thought about moving down this way rather than Sac? I am not sure what your whole situation is, but I *do* know rooms are available in this area and probably for much less than SF, Just a thought. Guest guest
Hi Larry; I have read your post and it is most certainly a word of encouragement for everyone. I don't know if anyone out there has ever been put on this Alpha program. But if it works I wish you all the best. I am sure we will all be watching your posts that will give us the results. I sincerely hope that this could be the answer for so many of our family members. It will be at the top of my prayer list. sincerely Lulu > > > Hey guys, > How's my best family?! > Welllllll, i have hopefully some good news. > Last month or so, I went to a Neurologist referred after my second > stroke. > The fellow took 17 vials of blood and DNA swabs. > I returned to him last Thursday week ago for the results. > Everything was in the good to " perfect " range except some major > indicators that I have a bad " S " gene.....had no clue what that > meant.....according to the doc, this is the underlying root cause > of ALL my issues.....including the incidents of last summer. > This bad gene causes a deficiency of Alpha 1 Antytripsyn....an > essential protein for healthy lungs and liver.....the treatment is > an IV Infusion of the above protein once a week for life....Home > health will do the treatment here....it takes about an hour and a > half... > the doc claims I will feel so " great " after the first or second > treatment that I won't mind the weekly IVs....he even said I will > probably be able to come completely off prednisone given time....He > hinted that I will get " my life " back....be able to return to work, > etc. > We will see......so far, new trestments and I have not gotten along > very well....but i am willing to take the chance...should know > something definite this week... > So, my new title is " Alpha 1 " ....whether this will put Stills in > remission? Guest guest
, I'm so sorry, I know how much hope we all have when we are about to start something new and different. We are all looking to feel better and wishing for that magic shot or pill..... I'm with you on that one for sure! I'm sorry about your labs.... what has your doc said? Has he any idea what caused all of this? Does he want you to see someone else? A different kind of specialist? How are you feeling right now? Please keep us all posted, hugs, Jo In a message dated 9/17/2009 7:42:00 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time, trday@... writes: So frustrating as I am sure you all know the story all to well. Guest guest
I also get EN on my arms. I get them on my hips (bottom) which is very hard to sit at times. Have even got a few on my stomach before. Seems like they can appear anywhere. Debbie Good Morning,I spoke with the nurse from my dermatologist's office. She said my aso titer, ace level and chest xray were all normal. YEAH!! But now what? Alot of my spots have or are clearing up but I have some new ones around my ankles which are like knots. So the Dr's office is supposed to be calling me back later today. I have stopped taking the naproxen, just way too much trouble on my stomach. My husband and I have decide to competely ween our baby girl from nursing (which breaks my heart but we know we have been blessed to nurse her this long). I am also hoping my husband will be able to find the ACV so I can give that a try. Someone had ask if anyone gets these on their arms, well I get a much smaller version on my arms and they kinda look like they might be fluid filled but so far they are no larger than a pencil eraser. My left elbow becomes extremely sore. I pray for everyone a quick and full recovery. Thanks for being here.Dana
Guest guest
I was always sad when I stopped nursing my children. It is just one step of many as a parent in letting them go and grow up. I had asked about the arms. I knew that is what it is, but had never met anyone else who had them there. My titers were all negative when I was first diagnosed. Now, my CRP, ESR and other labs are all abnormal. Nothing specific, which is annoying.
