Guest guest
Hi everyone. I have another question - and will probably have quite a few in the days to come. Hopefully I will be able to help someone else in the future. What do you do for care of your parent with LBD? I still have a 12yo & 14yo at home that I homeschool. We have classes that we attend on Mondays, doctor appts through out the week, etc. My mother is only 68 and has been working, etc. Looking back, I see that she's had the symptoms for quite awhile, and has been hiding them. She won't even tell the doctors her symptoms. She just smiles real big and tells them she feels great- and gets mad if I tell them the problems she is having. Anyone that spends more than a few minutes talking to her realizes that she is having problems though. I can't leave her alone, and I can't do the work that I need to do, due to her wanting constant attention. There is an Nursing Home that offers Adult Day Care in a neighboring town. Has anyone ever used one - and how do you tell your parent that they need supervision during the day - and that you need a break sometimes?
