Guest guest
HI IL-1 trap is still in clinical trials except for those who have Muckle-Wells syndrome. I think Bob has been in a study for several years now, taking the drug, and from what I understand study participants who do well on it can continue to get it. The commercial name for the drug will be Rilonacept. It works like Kineret, except that instead of " blocking " IL-1, it " traps " it (binds to a receptor, I think), so it's much more efficient than Kineret. I don't have a good link to study data, but here's a link to the NIH trial: http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00094900 in Maine > > Hi everyone.... > > I really have been out of the loop in reading info on upcoming meds for Stills....what is IL-1 trap?
