Guest guest
Hi Jill and Dean, I kind of thought there might be a "weight issue" as you sign your name Chubby D. But in America "Everyone loves a Loser" [The Biggest Loser is a BIG Hit on TV]. And if the people on the Doctors know about your weight loss success they might want to highlight you on the show and even give you more goodies--like pay for future surgeries or a gym pass or personal trainer and fly you back to the show after you lose even more. I do feel that this could be turned into a show about YOU and it would be so inspirational for the viewing audience! I will support you both however I can. And even if we can't get tickets to be on the show, I hope we can meet. We live not that far from where the show is taped, so if time permits maybe you and other group members can visit at my house, or we can drive to the hotel where The Doctors are putting you up and meet there. Would you believe that I have never met anyone with EN in person? I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you hear from The Doctors soon and that you both get to appear on the show! Love,http://poems2order.wordpress.com/Please enter Erythema Nodosum.........Thanks!Subject: "Doctors" Update: No Word YetTo: erythema_nodosum_Group Date: Sunday, August 22, 2010, 6:33 AMHello everyone! After considering 's advice, we have decided thatwe will go if they decide to move forward with the subject at theDoctors Show. I will keep everyone updated as to any progress ornon-progress made. There are so many of you with more experience than Jill or I and some ofyou have offered/requested to either appear with us or, at least be inthe audience. If this comes to be, (say a prayer that it does!), wewould love for anyone of our group who can make it to be there with us!Although we do not know each other personally, just knowing that thereare knowledgable members there would be wonderful support.I don't know why my letter was chosen but, for those of you who believein fate, this is it!For one reason or another, "weird" things seem to always happen to Jilland I. We have both struggled with health related issues so much that wealso believe it was fate that brought She and I together. Now for the brutal honesty! As you all know, Jill and I waivered a bitabout appearing on the Doctors and, thanks to encouragement from Rebecaaand others, we have decided to do it. The main reasons for ourhesitation were lack of knowledge but, that is not THE main reason. Jillis amazing in every way and she is wonderful with dealing with the folksshe cares for at her job but, dealing with anything public scare thebejeebers out of her. She is also very, very self conscious. She is"fluffy" and she worries about everything from seating on the plane towhether or not they will still want her after they see her photo.I am the same way on steroids! I was once over 700 pounds, mostly due toformer health problems. I have lost 300 pounds and have even had surgeryto remov 50 pounds of flesh from my abdominal area. However, I have atleast 2 years of surgeries left. I still weigh 425 pounds and I am a weebit of a fella at only 5" 6". My dilemma is also plane seating andworries about the show rejecting us due to our physical appearance. We do not want to ruin any chances for help and attention to thisdisease and will do whatever it takes to help. If they accept us, wewill put all of our fears aside and do we we feel we must. In fact, ourfear of flying has started to turn into excitement!I will stop babbling now. I appreciate any words of advice and I willkepp you updated.Dean & Jill------------------------------------You can help Erythema Nodosum Research.
