Hi Jeannie Yes, I did...I could not lay down or put my legs up without severe tingling and nerve pain. Also, the med almost ruined my relationship with my only daughter and there fore my only grandson. It happened because of a disagreement that then turned to horrifying rage from me. It was on a public beach (that thank God was not busy). I started to rage at her and my husband had to hold me back from lunging at her.......I could not believe myself...People actually called the police I was so loud.... It was so embarrassing and my daughter would do nothing but give me trouble and attack me verbally for one year....I took lots of crap and worked so very hard to repair this relationship. I have my DR and topomax to thank for this......I know my DR cannot be held responsible and I really do not blame him...I know there is a risk involved with all these damn meds....but he pushed me so hard for so long to try this one, it feels good to curse him now and then! You can just guess how bad my pain was during that. The only thing that was greater than my pain during that year was my tears!!!!! I try to warn anyone I can about the dangers of topomax. Guest guest
I just started taking topamax a few weeks ago, and as we were driving back from Arkansas, coming home after evacuating for hurricane Ivan, I had been sleeping, I felt this tingling in my feet..it was the strangest feeling, I had intended to ask my doctor about it, it was almost painful, does it get worse with time? it was like my whole foot was asleep and wouldn't wake up.
