Guest guest
Welcome Pam! You sure have been through a lot. I'd be getting a MRI of the brain. But your blood disorder is important to take care of! It will be all right. We'll be here for ya. Shirleydixiewings2 wrote: HiMy name is Pam and I am new to this group. One blood test leads to another, one xray lead to another xray....then I just had an MRI (open) of the lumbar spine. They found something.....but since it was my hemotolgist...he didn't know what it is. I go to him because of a blood disorder. I have numbess, tingling, pain in my extremities, have had bouts with slurred speech, memory problems. I have had plantar fasciitis. I had problems with my legs feeling like concrete. But now I am being sent to a heptologist because of my blood disorder and everything else is being put on the back burner. I was dx with Fibromyalgia 8 years ago by one doctor and then told by another I didn't have it. I have been dx with peripheral polyneuropathy and they don't know what is causing it....if that is even the right diagnosis. So I'm down and I'm tired of all the tests. I feel so fatigued at times and can't make it through a grocery store. My legs give out and sometimes the pain is severe. Thanks for listening everyone. I'm not sure if I belong here but I have all the symptoms just no dx. I am 54. I have been having bouts with these problems since I was 18. I had optic neuritis in my thirties but I have never had an MRI of the brain or a Lumbar puncture. Right now I am fighting to keep my blood normal.......Warm thoughts.....Pam
Guest guest
Welcome Pam :-) It really sounds like the process you've been going through is frustrating! My GP is pretty sure I've got MS, to the point that he's told me I'm going to be getting weekly shots. It all started off as a B12 Deficiency, but luckily my dr has been very kind and willing to investigate my symptoms as quickly as public health allow. Otherwise I'm in Ireland and have 2 little boys aged 4 and 8 and we try to lead an active life and be outdoors as much as possible, although our climate isn't the most cooperative! Regardless of your dx you belong here and you will find many supportive friends. Your symptoms sound very familiar to many of us!
