Guest guest
Hi Zoe, We have been using Coastal B12 spray on rx via Dr McCandless since beginning of Jan. We do it daily and its so much easier than the shots, which we had to do at night. Unfortunately I couldn't say whether its more effective than the shots as any improvements from it with Jack are masked by other major issues ie lead/mercury and the associated yeast issues which we are currently struggling with. I do feel B12 is helpful though and will be continuing with the spray - which works just like a vicks nasal spray. J is fine with it and even then covers the oher nostril and sniffs it up!! Sorry I can't be of more help - unless its worth me asking Dr Mc if she knows of how we can get it over here? > > Hello > > Seeking advice on MB12 nasal spray > > My son is totally needle phobic (we have had 5 attempts at blood > draw and still not succeeded in obtaining all the blood needed for > the full raft of DAN! tests) so I wanted to explore whether trying > nasal spray with him instead of shots might be as effective? > > As far as I know, the nasal spray is not available in the UK (where > we live). Guest guest
I can't compare the nasal spray with the shots as we only have done the spray but I can say the nasal spray have been great addition. Guest guest
, Does Coastal Compounding bill your insurance or do you have to file a claim. We use Medicine Shoppe in San Ramon and I do like their product but I am getting sick of losing the reciepts they send me and never get reimbursed. I would love to switch to a compounding pharmacy that bills Wellpoint directly. Thanks in advance, Haleh and Tim Owczarzak wrote: We get our MB12 nasal spray from Coastal Compounding (same place we used to get our MB12 shots from). Their phone number is 1- Yes, it does require a prescription. Guest guest
Haleh, I'm not and I cant answer your insurance question but we switched from Medicine shop in San Ramon to Coastal for the cost difference. It was like 70 or 80 dollars at wellness and its 35 from coastal. Guest guest
Dear Haleh, Oh, dear, it looks like my response may be too late, as it seems that you would've had your DAN doctor appointment today. I am always behind with my IN BOX, it seems - my apologies if this is too late. Boy, that's an interesting question - comparing the shots and spray - and I'm not sure if I can fully answer it just yet. We switched from the shots to the spray in December, after having done the shots for over 2 years. I can say that when we did the Adenosyl/Methyl combo in our shots, it definitely straightened out some of my son's previously really messed-up test results on the Metabolic Analysis Profile test. When we first began the shots, we used just straight Methyl B12 (which is what most of these kiddos are using with success). But after 4 months, we weren't seeing much and a repeat of the Metabolic Analysis Profile test showed no improvements and still very elevated MMA (Methylmalonic Acid). So, we decided to switch him to a combination of 50% Adenosylcobalamin + 50% Methylcobalamin. Well, apparently that did the trick, because when we reran the Metabolic Analysis Profile test for the 3rd time quite awhile later, his results were nearly perfect. An amazing turn-around on the testing. Now, though, since switching to the spray, his speech does seem to be improving - use of language, clarity of speech, etc. But, we're always doing so many things at one time, that I'm never sure what's responsible for what!! Not a good tactic for a scientist, but I'm no scientist (LOL!!), just a Mom who sees time flying by for her nearly 10-year-old son and can't be patient enough to do things singularly!! SO, I'm not sure I've been much help here Haleh! Maybe I've even added to the confusion - YIKES!! By the way, his spray version is straight Methyl B12 - NOT a mixture of Adenosyl and Methyl like we ended up using with the shots, although I've read that Coastal will make it that way, as well. I suppose that you could always do a trial of the shots and see if you notice any differences between the two methods. And some people are actually doing a combination of both shots and spray - another consideration to try. My best, Re: M B12 nasal spray > > > >I can't compare the nasal spray with the shots as we only have done the > > spray but I can say the nasal spray have been great addition. > > Best, > > Haleh > > > > Zoe wrote: > > > >> Hello > >> > >> Seeking advice on MB12 nasal spray > >> > >> My son is totally needle phobic (we have had 5 attempts at blood > >> draw and still not succeeded in obtaining all the blood needed for > >> the full raft of DAN! tests) so I wanted to explore whether trying > >> nasal spray with him instead of shots might be as effective? > >> > >> As far as I know, the nasal spray is not available in the UK (where > >> we live). Guest guest
Hi, I just received my MB-12 spray today. Is it normal for the tiny bottle to come half filled? I got it late in the day and I knew Coastal would be closed. Does that seem right, for the bottle not to be filled up? It would seem for $50.00 the bottle should have more then half in it. Thanks, Judy
Guest guest
, You are wonderful and don't ever think other wise. Our DAN visit went really well and we are going to increase his MB 12 nasal spray to two times per day. He is really low methylator, extremely low on glutathione and his detox genomic profile revealed that he GSTM1 gene, one of the three genes for glutathione conjugation is non existence meaning he needs to be on glutathione for the rest of his life. We have seen enough improvements with MB12 nasal spray that we are excited about two times per day. Thank you so much again. You are so very sweet. Guest guest
, You are wonderful and don't ever think other wise.
