Guest guest
That is interesting. Kirby talks quite a bit about Vit D and sun deficiency in reference to the case of the Somali children in Minnesota - which would have less sun than Somalia where they never had autism. Just a puzzle piece i suppose.
Guest guest
Somalia does not have the same vaccination schedule as we do in North America. The vit D thing is also something that we are looking into though and will test and then probably get it started. Guest guest
It would be interesting to do a poll and see when most of our kids where born. I just wonder if the time of year has anything to do with having low Vitamin D. My daughter was born in February and we lived on the West Coast at the time. Lots of rain and indoors a lot. Who knows? > > > Subject: Re: What Really Causes Autism? > To: mb12 valtrex > Received: Friday, January 30, 2009, 3:17 AM > > > > > > > That is interesting. Guest guest
My son was born in August, but we live in Seattle, so little sun, plus it seems like he was under the most " stress " when he was around 6 months -- colicky, first ear infections, etc, which was during the winter. My Vit. D levels were low when I had them checked this fall.

Guest guest
My boys were born 14 months apart. My ASD child is the older one. I went into preterm labor with him, received 2 steroid shots, and was on magnesium sulfate for 4 days to stop labor. He ended up being born 5 days late weighing 9lbs. 9oz. scoring a 9.9 on the apgar. He regressed into autism after reaching all milestones early at about 20 months after being fully vaccinated. I did not go into preterm labor with my younger son who was born on his due date at 9lbs 2oz. He also scored 9.9 on the apgar. He was about 6 months old when my older son started to regress, so he never received another vaccine after his 6 month check up. He is very typical without any traces of autism. I firmly believe that if he had been fully vaccinated then he would have also regressed into autism. His older brother may very well have saved him from it! Guest guest
I keep coming back to this thread. After so much reading, I do believe autism is caused by different reasons. Obviously, no one child is alike. In my son's case, I think it was a variety of things. They say sometimes first born kids recieve a toxic dump from the Mom. I had a hard time getting pregnant and had him at age 36 after trying Clomid 1 time. I think primarily, he was predisposed. I have a 40 year old brother who is also autistic/shizophrenic, but my poor mother who cares for him has always said he's suffered from GI problems. He also had terrible allergies as a child for which he had shots. Could diet and detox made in a difference in his life? Possibly. My husband has asthma and also suffers from allergies. I also have food intolerances and have some kind of autoimmune issue. I've had the rubella shot twice because it wouldn't take. So, right off the bat, he's inherited some off gene/s. He was a C-section, but before the birth when they thought he could be a vaginal birth, I had pitocin, and an antibiotic drip because of a staph infection I had. Then you throw in a load of vaccines on his weak immune system and that may started a more rapied ascent into this horrible state. My son did reach his milestones although a little slow. He recognized letters at a young age and could say words, but started to regress and started full blown autistic behaviors around 2. I too am outraged that there isn't enough information or enough studies out there. I'm even more outraged that I can see various professionals and they won't even consider suggesting something as uninvasive as a diet change. That they think that thermiserol may have been the only reason as to why vaccines are targeted, that they won't see this as a medical condition, etc, etc. Not all children are responders, but still so many kids are being lost and can receive some form of dietary, medical intervention, in addition to behavioral therapies that can greatly improve their lives. Why isn't this information being disseminated in every pediatrician's office in 2009?????? Why? It is completely infuriating. ex , " marciimommy " wrote: > > My Autistic son was born July 19, 1999 in New York State (Western New York). I had a > fantastic pregnancy with no problems. Guest guest
Hi My grandson (ASD) was born by emergency C section at 36 weeks. Guest guest
I was given 8 (I believe). I have 5 children. Our ASD is the 5 and final child. None of our other children were born with disabilities.I would have to say that the compilation of all the rhogam shots and the mercury filling I had removed for a crown (4 months prior to preg) may have had something to do with her autism. > > How many moms out there were given a rho-gam shot and have a child with Autism? > >
Guest guest
2003 and years before that Rho-gam contained mercury. My 5 year old with Autism was born vaginally and was given all vaccines. My 3 year old has not been given any vaccines, but I was given rho-gam with both. My three year old is developing normally. I have no fillings. My three year old was taken c-section also. I work in a automotive factory where I work around aluminum and more. Guest guest
My doctor strongly suggested that my son get the flu shot when he was about eight months old and I let them give him one. I have always thought that my son was never the same after that shot. He got sick shortly after with flu like symptoms, the ER said it was a bad ear infection and treated with an antibiotic. After that we saw hand flapping and a loss of the few words he had. At his first birthday he had no eye contact and appeared to be deaf. He could of cared less about the party, the guests, or the gifts. So basically my son has been overloaded with mercury. Starting with rho-gam, vaccines, and the flu shot.
