Guest guest
Your apologies are noted, but would respectfully ask whether you are only looking for articles from members, or would you consider ones from non-members? Mr Arwel MB BCh Dip.Phyt. DIHom Medical Herbalist, Chester -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Herbal Thymes Dear NIMH Members, (and apologies to non-NIMH members for what follows!) I am Hayley and I am now the new Editor of Herbal Thymes - HOORAH! That's the good news! The 'bad' news' is that it seems there is not long until the next edition. So, I am asking you all for your help! If you want to read a 'skinny' edition of the Herbal Thymes this quarter with only 2 articles in it, (a shocking thought!) then do nothing! If, on the other hand, you would love to receive a beautiful, full issue with exciting facts and features, then get writing NOW! Herbal Thymes is made up entirely from member contributions. a.. Did you have a regional meeting recently? Would you like to tell the membership about it? b.. Do you have a regional meeting coming up that you would like members to know about? c.. Are there any seminars coming up that NIMH members may be interested in? Or have you attended something that we would love to hear about? d.. Have you had an experience that you would like to tell the membership about? e.. Are there any births or marriages we don't yet know about? If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions, then the membership would love to hear from you! We all tend to think, don't we, that no-one will be interested in hearing from little old us? But think about how much we look forward to reading the articles written by our peers. So, if you have a spare few minutes to jot something down to get to me, then please do so. If we all put just a little bit in, then we'll have an exciting issue to look forward to. The deadline for articles, adverts and ideas to reach me is Thursday 7th September (not long, I know - imagine how I feel!) so please, get writing! I'm also asking that you bear with me for how this issue turns out as it's going to be hard-going getting it out in time, but I'll do my very best with the time that I have. Thankyou all, Hayley x
Guest guest
Hello Arwel, I have checked the answer to your question as I am very new to the job, but, Herbal Thymes is a NIMH member publication (rather than a journal-type publication) so contains contributions from members only. However, we very much welcome, adverts (for job vacancies, seminars, workshops), books for review, details of seminars that may be of use to members, and any other interesting info, so if you have anything like that, then please let us know. There is now a herbal thymes-dedicated e-mail address, which is herbal_thymes@... Thankyou for your enquiry Arwel, Hayley . The Herbal Thymes deadline is 7th May and I'd love to have some lovely things about conference to put in there. So whaddya say? Here's a list of possible topics: * My first conference as a new member * My first conference for ages as an existing member * Chanchal Cabrera lecture * Barbara Griggs lecture * MHRA report * Seminars - which ones did you attend and what did you think? * AGM * Envisioning meeting * Dinner and dance And lots lots more. So get your thinking caps on and make something really lovely for the lovely herbal thymes (as loved by Barbara Griggs herself!) Email me at herbalhayley@...
