Guest guest
If you look at this link on s website there is a chart at the bottom.http://www.lymebook.com/top10forms In the very last column of the chart, it says that rife is the only thing that will kill Lyme without encysting it. I don't know if this chart was made before MMS or if he was refering to salt/c. I guess the bottom line is there is a lot of research left to do and most of the evidence is anecdotal. I just know that if you have a big case of Lyme as I did when my CD 57 score was a 3, nothing will resolve symptoms in 6 months without spiros going into cysts. I might point out that the Townsend letter also has had several particles promoting Samento and Vitamin D restriction with Lyme disease. My friend who is doing Samento, can't stop taking it either as the symptoms reoccur. I believe supplementation of vitamin D is necessary when you live in northern climates like Alaska as it has so many anti-Cancer benefits. I have a subscription to Townsend letter and have had for several years and find many good articles, but have also found some articles that I did not agree with. A lot of articles in Townsend letter are also based on opinion or anecdotal research so you have to be discerning as a reader and not just accept everything at face value. My belief is that if you have a good rife machine, that causes a huge herx such as the coil, why would you want to do any antimicrobial stuff as the herx would be unbearable. Unless you want to there is potential to lessen the herx so that it is more tolerable, but then again then you have to treat a lot longer to totally eradicate it. I am tired of coiling and herxing and killing stuff and want to get to a place where I can have a life back free of killing bacterias and viruses. > > > > > > > > > > > > Some random thoughts....The way I look at it is we don't have to fully understand how a treatment works to benefit from it. I don't have a clue how my computer works...but yet I have learned that pressing specific keys produces predictable results. Likewise, I know that electric fields aren't supposed to be able to penetrate our bodies well and so the DP100 shouldn't really work very well. But some people are reporting good results! I've still got a million questions about the machine, and have been pretty critical in the past, but it still interests me and if I had the money I think i'd own one. > > > > > > One of my theories has been that the DP100 works in a bioresonance sort of fashion by providing the body with frequencies it might be deficient in, thus helping it function better. I really have no idea though. > > > > > > I think sometimes we need to remind ourselves to stay as objective and loyal as we can to what is bringing about good results, regardless of what it might be. Guest guest
I suspect Teasel acts in the same way that any of the antimicrobial herbs do, but who knows, Lady Barbara claims she cured Lyme using it, but I wonder if she isn't still taking it and if she has tried to stop and what happens if she does stop. She is a good resource on Teasel, so she would be the one to ask. > > *What about Teasel? Encysts or not? > > (I'm loving the stuff, no herx at all. Guest guest
, I don't herx from Teasel either. I just thought that meant it didn't work on me. It doesn't make be feel better either. No effect. Do you feel better with it? Tamara > > *What about Teasel? Encysts or not? > > (I'm loving the stuff, no herx at all. My body wants to drink bottles of it > - though I'm not. Guest guest
Hi , I am not sure when built this chart, MMS was not well known in the Lyme community until mid to late 2008. Marc has made it clear salt/C does no cause encysting as it is a natural substance that is already in the body, the protocol just raises the levels. He also references salt/C will disrupt cysts and also L forms. MMS (chlorine dioxide) is also found naturally in the body... These are not foreign substances, so I don't see how the spiros would encyst because of either protocol as the sprios share their environment with these substances that are already in our body... Perhaps was referencing this to other protocols discussed in the book... I agree, until specific research is done on Bb incysting, much info is going to be anecdotal.. With the IDSA claiming there is no chronic Lyme and a government that shows little interest, I would not hold my breath very long hoping there will be much research into this anytime soon. I pray you get to your place soon... :-) Take care, Jim > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Some random thoughts....The way I look at it is we don't have to fully understand how a treatment works to benefit from it. Guest guest
Hi , My personal belief and it is a strong one, it does not... I don't believe teasel is a killer, but somehow it does have a negative affect on the spiro's... Here is a post from another group that sounds interesting to me.. This was actually posted from Jenna's Lyme Blog, a good Lyme friend who has good Lyme info. How do you like Teasel? Where are you getting yours? I am thinking of adding to my journey... I've heard too many good things... I have not heard anything negative about it... http://www.idigmygarden.com/forums/showthread.php?p=444100 >>>The Power Of Teasle For Chronic Lyme Disease As we search for effective treatment and alternative protocols teasel can be very effective against chronic Lyme disease and other auto-immune disorders. Dr. Burrascano, Buhner and other experienced LLDs recommend teasel and Dr. in the not-to-be-missed article " Lyme Disease: A Plague of Ignorance " . Teasel drives the spirochetes from the joints into the blood stream. That is why it is very effective to take while taking antibiotics. The teasel pushes the bacteria out of their hiding place and the antibiotic or other alternative bacteria killers can do their job. So, teasel may help stop the spirochetes from evading the immune system. Even when taken alone with out the assistance of antibiotics it can cause a significant herx, which indicates die-off. Teasel is to be taken long term in low doses for total saturation. Spirochete's can go dormant for long periods of time and then become active again. By slowly saturating the body with teasel it stays in the system to kill the Lyme when it becomes active. Teasel is also known to help with joint problems, tight ligaments, and cramping. It has been very helpful for folks dealing with Lyme. FM, MS, all chronic problems involving joint and muscle pain. There are reports that teasel works well with blue vervaine and wild bergamont. You can take them all at the same time under the tongue. Suggested dosage: If you are a sensitive individual you will want to start out slowly when taking teasel. Long term 8-14 months. 3-5 drops under tongue 3 times per day. If you are overweight it will be necessary to take the 5 drops 3 times daily to saturate your system. If you herx or are sensitive when taking new things start slowly. 1 drop 3 times per day and work up to full dose. Children under 50 lbs. 1 drop under tongue 3 times per day.+ Keep in mind that Lyme bacteria produce neuro-toxins when they die that will cause flare-ups of many current symptoms, cause new symptoms and make you feel terrible (see Herxheimer Reaction.) For more information read Wood's book, " The Book Of Herbal Wisdom: Using Plants as Medicines " , about using Teasel Root tincture for Lyme Disease. The best way to buy teasel is at 1st Chinese Herbs. Download the free ebook for more information about using herbs to help us with some of our Lyme symptoms. Guest guest
Hi , I think if you crave teasel you should listed to your body and take it. I did have an adrenal crash about a year ago and I had really severe kidney pain but I never linked the two. I try really hard to keep my cortef on the low side because I do think my body gets a little addicted to it. I tool teasel about a year ago when my germ load was pretty high and noticed nothing. I ordered a fresh bottle from Lady B last month and noticed nothing as well. In healing lyme Buhner says that he believes Teasel does not work on ever strain of lyme and he found it less effective on the east coast. Perhaps my strain of lyme is not effected and truly I think my co-infections far outweighed my lyme infection and I don't know what effect it had on them. He did say that it was effective for joint pain and I didn't notice any change in that either. I just cant help but question my reaction when it seems that every lymie does so well on teasel. I rife with the GB4000 and I know I reduced my load tremendously. I also really found the GSE helped in more ways than one as I think it also reduced my yeast. After the initial discomfort of opening the cysts and herxing I just felt better and better with it. I don't even mind the taste anymore. I don't think either teasel or GSE causes encysting. Guest guest
Connie As a young child I was diagnoses as an epileptic and had Petite Mal seizures - by the time I was 16 I was havning full blown convulsions. Five years ago I found out that all epileptics are magnesium deficient and that seiurues are a symptom of magnesium deficiency. I had to take anti-convulsants or antiseizure medication for 49 years. I started using transdermal magnesium chloride every day in 2005 and have not had any medciation for seizures since October 2007 and have not had any seizures at all. Magnesium in Neurological Diseases and Emotions Even a mild deficiency of magnesium can cause increased sensitivity to noise, nervousness, irritability, mental depression, confusion, twitching, trembling, apprehension, and insomnia. Imagine being able to clear these symptoms without dangerous drugs! Magnesium is the premier medicine for depression, sleep disturbances, emotionally disturbed behavior, and neurological diseases because of its strong positive effect in calming and nourishing the nervous system. The healthy cell is permeable. This means that nutrients are able to pass into them efficiently to be absorbed and the toxic byproducts of metabolism are eliminated. When the cells are healthy the polarity of the cell is correct, i.e., there is intracellular potassium and magnesium as well as extracellular sodium and calcium. The cell in this state is healthy, and the person functions optimally both physically and emotionally. The unhealthy cell is not permeable. This leads to unhealthy cells with sodium and calcium going inside the cell, and magnesium and potassium being lost. 28 References. http://magnesiumforlife.com/medical-application/magnesium-in-neurological-diseas\ es-and-emotions/ One of the things that magnesium does in the brain is regulate the bursts of electricity that the neurons give off - it is these bursts that cause seizures if they are too big. Magnesium also calms irritated neurons so that they do not give off large bursts of electricily. Magnesium is very helpful in Autism, ADD/ADHD,excitability, learning disorders, panic attacks, anxiety, etc too. Magnesium and Autism ADD/ADHD, excitability, hyperactive, Autism are all addressed. When dealing with autism spectrum and other neurological disorders in children it is important to know the signs of low magnesium: restless, can't keep still, body rocking, grinding teeth, hiccups, noise sensitive, poor attention span, poor concentration, irritable, aggressive, ready to explode, easily stressed. A double-blind administration of 200 mg elemental magnesium per day to 25 children produced measurable decrease in hyperactivity over 6 months compared to control.[4] Because of its nerve and muscle support, magnesium is helpful for nervousness, anxiety, insomnia, depression, and muscle cramps.Magnesium is a crucial factor in the natural self-cleansing and detoxification responses of the body. When magnesium levels become dramatically deficient we see symptoms such as convulsions, gross muscular tremor, atheloid movements, muscular weakness, vertigo, auditory hyperacusis, aggressiveness, excessive irritability, hallucinations, confusion, and semicomma. " Magnesium deficiency in children is characterized by excessive fidgeting, anxious restlessness, psychomotor instability and learning difficulties in the presence of normal IQ, " said Dr. Mildred Seelig.Low levels of magnesium have long been known to cause hyper excitability with convulsive seizures in such studies with the well known reversal of such conditions by treatment with magnesium.[21] References 26. http://magnesiumforlife.com/medical-application/magnesium-and-autism/ blessings Shan > >> > > > > >> > > > *What about Teasel? Guest guest
Tamara, When I was at Dr. K's clinic I was muscle tested(ART) and found I needed Quintessense(buhner herbs), Garlic, and Rizol Gamma for my lyme infection. Once I was on those I was then tested again and it still showed I still wasnt completely addressing my lyme infection. Then they added MMS and tested me and it canceled out that last bit of lyme that wasn't being addressed by the antibiotic herbs. Then I asked her if since MMS is kind of a pain to use if she could test me for Teasel and see if that would also address that last bit of lyme the other abx wern't hitting and so she did and found that Teasel would work for me in place of the MMS. My point is if Teasel was effective against all strains then my guess would be I would be on only Teasel. The muscle testing would then show after introducing Teasel that I need nothing else for my lyme. So I think your assumption that Teasel doesn't work against all strains is correct. In my case they introduced Teasel last, which doesn't really prove that Teasel doesn't address my various strains of lyme. But with all the muscle testing thats been done up at Dr. K's I would imagine if when Teasel was tried first in the testing sequence and then found that no additional abx were needed they would then test that one first each time. But they didn't. I think every abx works in a unique way and they each have strengths and weaknesses. The trick is finding out which combination will address our infection. Did that make sense? Guest guest
I am finding it hard to deal with the fact that I had seizues for 49 years and not one doctor, whom were supposed to be specialists, told me about magnesium. My son was born with all sorts of birth defects caused by the anti-seizure medication and had 18 operations but still has a hole in his heart and brain damage - this could have been prevented if I had known about magnesium. I will always be grateful to Dr Mark Sircus now. Good luck! blessings Shan > > > >> > > > > > > >> > > > *What about Teasel? Guest guest
Hi Shan, This is the reason I seldom see a doctor anymore, they know little about what natural things can do to cure the body... Ask most doctors today to tell you the benefit of Lugol's iodine and some won't know what it is, virtually all will have no clue as to its benefits.. I know mag oil is good for seizures, so am I to presume they ended yours? If so, good for you.. If they have ended yours, this is the first I have heard of it first hand...
