Unithroid is STILL on the MarketThyroid Disease Blog

« Dear Public Citizen: You can have my Armour when you pry my cold, dead fingers off the bottle... | Main | Is a Thyroid Disease Vaccine on the Way? »

September 30, 2003Unithroid is STILL on the MarketThe thyroid rumor mill is running rampant again. With the switch in distributors from to Lannett, Unithroid (manufactured by Jerome s Pharmaceuticals) has landed in pharmaceutical rumor-land. Apparently, some pharmacies, and even their wholesale suppliers, are telling customers that Unithroid has gone out business, is off the market, not being made any more, etc. etc. NOT SO , says a spokesperson from Lannett. They issued a notice to all wholesalers last week, indicating that they were the distributor for Unithroid, and product IS available. Orders have been pouring in. Is your pharmacist still a doubting ? Have him or her call Lannett directly, at 1-, extension 4, for a dose of fact, not fiction.
