Hi All,

I have a new patient with 2 years of increasing frequency septicaemias. Ended

up with hickman and long term IV Abs (merepenem) this winter.

He is taking long term predisolone 5mg and Tacrolimus as anti rejection meds for

renal transplant 15 years ago following poly cystic kidney disease. Liver is

polycystic too. Infections all started after a surgical procedure to remove the

liver cysts.

Insanely complicated Medical History. Vagotomy, hypertension, cholecystectomy,

epilepsy, solar keratosis, Diverticulitis(Chronic diarrhoea) Gout.

Mainlines sugar - 10 pints of tea a day with 3 sugars!!!! Hates vegetables.

I have given him a serious talking to about his diet and sugar consumption.

Warned him about ecoli resistance, increased immune supression and how he is

feeding it and damaging his transplanted kidney with the sugar.

He said he would stop sugar right away.

I thought I would work on his digestion to improve absorption of essential

nutrients.

My main worry is interfering with his Tarolimus levels. Looking for bitters that

don't increase CYP450.

I can't boost his immunity directly with Echinacea.

I was thinking supplements:

MultiVit and Mineral

Vitamin C

Get Vit D levels tested (he is taking alfaclcidol)

An acute mix of: Thymus, Allium, Calendula, Scut. baicalensis?

Main mix: Tarax. rad, Agrimony, Carduus......

His wife is intense. I think he said 10 words for the whole hour!

So brain dead on this one.....

Help!
