Guest guest
My doctor recently said not to take cod liver oil that it was too much Vit A and not good. She suggested fish oils which I have switched to but only recently. The cod liver oil would upset my tummy. You may consider getting some cod liver oil. It is known to help chronic pain. cindy c > > > From: Colleen Flannery <crash19691@ ...> > Subject: Cold Climate and Fibro Symptoms > To: fibromyalgiacured@ yahoogroups. com > Date: Tuesday, December 29, 2009, 10:33 PM > > >  > > > > Hello all > I live in West Michigan, only about 30 min from Lake Michigan. It's a beautiful place to live but I'm sure you know that we get lots of cold nasty weather for several months out of the year. I have struggled with this every year since getting fibromyalgia (12 years now). Some years I do better than others, but either way, I find that I am quite miserable no matter how many cleanses and things I do to help. I have about had it and I am so close to packing up and moving to Florida. I have noticed that when I have traveled to Florida, Caribbean islands, or southern California during winter months that I felt great there, but soon after I get off the plane here in Michigan, the headaches and everything else comes back. Guest guest
Those are good ideas - thanks! I do like the exercise. I have noticed that the more I keep moving of course the more my muscles stay warm. Once I quit and have to sit down to work or whatever, thats when the pain and stiffening happens. ________________________________ To: fibromyalgiacured Sent: Wed, December 30, 2009 11:56:00 AM Subject: Re: Re: Cold Climate and Fibro Symptoms  I wear thermals every day and use a SAD lamp. When i am not working or doing anything important i get in bed. Bed keeps me warm and moderate excercise helps too In addition i use MCKenna CDs to lift my mood. This year has been my best so far. Right now it is freezing outside and i am coping. I have never been able to say that before thanks for listening Joanne ____________ _________ _________ __ From: lostalibi <lostalibiyahoo (DOT) com> To: fibromyalgiacured@ yahoogroups. com Sent: Wed, 30 December, 2009 16:27:10 Subject: Re: Cold Climate and Fibro Symptoms  I used to live in Minnesota and suffered the same effects. I moved to Colorado and everything changed (over a two year span)...I got off disability and started working full time etc. Of course other things changed besides the climate (leaving an emotionally abusive relationship, selling the house and renting instead to leave within my physical limits, tons more sunny days) but I know climate helped also. When I visit Minnesota in winter it all comes back, even the humidity in summer visits causes problems but not as bad as the winters. I also suspect allergies may play a role as I'm allergic to mold, which thrives in humid climates. > > Hello all > I live in West Michigan, only about 30 min from Lake Michigan.
