Guest guest
Hello everyone I am wondering if anyone can give some advice or suggestions concerning noise sensitivity in children. My daughter Sydney (MDS) is 2 years old. Since she was a baby I have noticed that she is very sensitive to certain loud noises. The main issue is if she is in a room full of people and they talk or laugh loudly she gets very irritated and either cries and/or covers her ears. She really is not sensitive to any other noises such as the vacuum or the television it is just loud voices. She has had her hearing checked and it is totally fine. She is also very social and she interacts with other adults and children well. But she is much better when there are not many people around at one time. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if so is it something I should be concerned about or will she grow out of it. I do a good job of comforting her and removing her from the environment when she gets upset now but just wondering if there is more I should be doing.
