Hey Andy,

How did you ever do with the lean/bulk routine? I know you started it…did

you keep it up?

Joe, it can be tough to get started. That is one reason I have quit

taking any breaks from weight lifting. After taking a break, it is

tough to restart. If I want a break, I now just cut back on the

length or intensity of my workouts. Keeping in the same routine

really helps me stay focused.

Some people will lose water weight their first week and see a big

drop. Others may not see the scale move. You really need to look at

the fact you've gained strength. I'd look closer at your measurements

(especially the waist) than the scale. That will be a true indicator

of progress regardless of what the scale says. I think your goal of 2

- 3 inches off your waist is good.

I've been very happy with the way BFL has " toned " my body. I'm only

152 lbs and 5'11 " , but look muscular.

I'm in Columbia, MO so not too far from you.
