very useful information from a friend in my " home " frienddly

disabilities group:

Joe,

As a hurricane survivor and a witness of some of the worst to hit

the Gulf Coast (Camille, catagory 5, Fredrick catagory 4) I know for

a fact that storms can affect you. At the center of a hurricane the

air rises and this creates another effect that causes some of us

pain. For a few hundred miles in front of the hurricane there is an

effect called sinking air. What this means is the air pressure grows

on the front of these storms increasing pressure on the earth. In

turn this causes pressure on those of us with arthritis making

joints hurt. I know, because I can feel it now.

Regards,

Dear Joe,

I know nothing about hurricanes, but, all this info does make a lot of sense. I

just wanted to say " stay safe, God Bless, and I hope your pain subsides very

soon! " Sending only happy thoughts your way....janine

I always know when it is humid or when rain is coming as my pain really flares

up too.
