I did my twelve minutes with modifications for my knees -- and found that it went by very quickly and with no problems. :) So I'm ready for my increase next week.

When I was at the pharmacy, I saw a wealthy woman in her seventies...she had a gorgeous head of hair (expensively colored, cut, etc.) lots of makeup, and very nice clothes -- however she was way too thin -- I could see her bones in her back. She had the look of someone who believed in you can't be too rich or too thin (she didn't look sick,...just very thin)...yet, she was garrulous and angry with the pharmacy...and that anger (justified or not) ruined the look so obviously cultivated. I got to thinking about how much women are prized for their looks in our society, and here was a woman who had once been one of those so prized...and now that her looks of youth was gone, still went to great lengths to stay beautiful... what might have been beautiful at 40, was gone at 70. I wondered how much of her self-esteem was in her looks? or if her looks were a reflection of her self-esteem? I wondered how I would be at that age...? I think that I will want what I want now...a strong, healthy body (not necessarily thin) ...

I guess I'm not expressing myself well. I just don't want to be so wrapped up in my fading looks that I ignore how I treat others, and have no peace in my life because I can't have what I want -- myself at a younger age.
