Thanks. ********** - Call your insurance company and ask to speak to your case manager. If they say you don't have one, then tell them you want one assigned immediately, and that you need to speak to them ASAP. If they say that's not possible, then tell them you need to speak to someone who can strighten out a problem that is keeping you from getting your meds. The letter was probably computer generated and is a form letter they use. You can also give ask the pharmacist to call your Dr. and tell him what, if any, other docs have Rx'd meds for you, when and what. It it was another pharmacy, ask both pharmacists to call your Dr. After you speak with your insurance company, see if they will call your Dr, or fax him a letter. If not, ask if they will OK a script for pain meds. Then call and make an appt to see your Dr. today - try not to do it over the phone. If he's still reluctant, ask him to give you just enough until he has a chance to sort through this mess, or if he would be more comfortable Rxing something not as strong, like Vicodin. (You can take 2 if necessary). Depending on how your Dr. handles this, you may want to find another Dr., which is why you'd be asking for just enough to get you through getting the mess cleared up. Hope this helps, and let us know what happens. Where do you live? I have more Percocet than I need right now. Dix wrote: SO, I called my doctor today for prescription refill as I do every month. Guest guest
, That is unfair they are telling you this and necessary ER visits are legitimate in correlation with regular pain management. You can't control when the pain will be unbearable and you can't get in to see your doctor! My suggestion is gathering up any discharge papers you may have from these previous ER appointments and bringing them to your pain management doctor. If you don't have them, get copies from the ER. Bring them to the doc on your next appointment (or before) and explain what you just told us. To me it makes sense and they can't deny you the medical attention you need (including prescriptions). The probably just aren't thinking " oh she went to the ER this time or that time, that is why she has script written by other doctors " . As an FYI - everytime I go to the ER I fax the disgharge diagnosis and instrictions to my MD the day after. It helps to have you bases covered. Good luck! My doctor now thinks that I am seeing other doctors besides him for pain medication.
Guest guest
Hi Your insurance company has violated your privacy and commited libel. It would be a good idea to see a lawyer. I am sorry this has happened to you. This looks like yet another way for insurance companies to defraud their customers. Kaylene > wrote: ..
