Guest guest
Heads up to anyone who hasn't got around to checking out the draconian ASA guidelines yet and changing their websites etc I just got a formal notification about my website from them. They are targeting all Herbalists and will do this systematically. I removed the " offending " copy and my punishment is to have my name on a list on their website.(oOOOoHHH!) The copy was the blurb about the rough guide to recovery with herbs and a list of conditions I have a special interest in. Not really too bothered about loosing it. You can list ailments as long as you reference them to clinical evidence. You can only have personal testimonials if the patient is willing to be contacted and verify. Conway tells me there is a case against some of their demands.(denying people the right to choose) I suspect if we could pull together and fight it enmass then we could get things changed. Personally, I haven't got the time to start a mass revolution but I will continue to make ripples via effective practice and local workshops/walks/PR. I wondered when they were going to get around to targeting benecol and yakault adverts?! Their wording is SO sneaky and totally misleading. Good Luck!
