Guest guest
That's a pretty thorough list! I've found that many things work...for a time and then don't. This has me thinking that psoriasis is a complex of different pathogens and we can knock out one and then another will opportunistically take over and start the whole mess again. When I started S & C, I had a dramatic reduction in size and activity of my patches within a week! they very slowly crept back and in the last 6 months, they've been worse than ever before. My pharmacist has psoriasis and tried (for himself) gotu cola in pill form which didn't do much so he compounded capsules into a creme and it worked surprisingly well...for a while, for both of us. I still use it once in a while. I've thrown Argan, Emu, MMS, DMSO, CS/DMSO, Absorbine Jr., Mazon soap, wormwood, iodine, zinc ointment (this is slightly more effective than most if you put it on constantly), mag oil, not to mention the conventional junk prescribed, that did nothing and cost much. I've just ordered two more remedies on the way. (can't even remember what they are) I've had good luck with Vick's on toenail fungus, so perhaps I should try it, although there are some areas that would be too sensitive and burn, I think. Fro knees and elbows, I might mix Vicks with DMSO to drive it in deeper. Your idea of adding camphor sounds good, too. Rinsing my hair with CS seems to reduce flakes a bit on the scalp, and H2O2 has quieted patches but not reduced them.I wish LDN had worked, but the sudden appearance of small, 1/4 inch scaly bumps on my face made me stop that. Now, I notice lots of these popping out on my upper arms, along the top of my back, and just have no idea what has provoked this. Should keep a more concise journal for tracking things.I've just begun MSM too, so will let you know how that goes.Good luck with yours. Like Lyme, I think psoriasis is unique to each person, so remedies will be too.Be well,Léna I have tried so many things on my psoriasis! I have it on my scalp, elbows, hand, knee, inside ears,, etc. I have tried the Argan; jojoba; jojoba mixed with lavendar; coconut oil; coconut oil mixed with various oils; shea butter, shea butter mixed with sea buckthorn oil, vit e,vit a (this is a great combo for dry skin); every over the counter remedy I could find at store from ointments to shampoos; every prescription shampoo they make for it; prescription steriod creams and prescription salicylic acid. How is that for a list?! So far what has worked best I didn't list above: Vicks Vapo rub. It hasn't got rid of it totally but works better than anything else thus far. I have wondered if I ordered some real camphor and added some to it to make it stronger if it would work. It does seem to get better some too if I stay off dairy but it is so hard. When I was on zithromax it started getting better which I thought was odd considering people say it is a fungus. I know Lyme eats collagen which I read can cause the psoriasis in us Lymies. I am hoping when I get my MSM powder I ordered taking that will help too. Francheska
