Guest guest
Good Morning Edna, How are you this morning? And the girls, how are they? Have you gotten any questions answered? 's Ms is probably worse in the summer because heat often gives a bad reaction; a little different for each of us but I think the most common is weakness and the increase of pain. How is the tempeture in Washington's summers? You and yours are in my prayers May God bless in all matters Lynn (Moderator/Helper)wishing you and yoursLove and Happiness;Flowers and Butterflies Re: carbatrol My daughter has been on Tegretol for many years and I requested that she be switched to Carbatrol. She is on 200 mg at night. She began the Neurontin, Carbatrol and naltrexone the same day and hasn't been crying as much. What does the Topamax do for MS? My other daughter takes Topamax for seizures and it was a miracle drug for a child who needed a miracle so badly.Edna and (age 24) in WA stateAt 11:29 AM 8/20/2004 -0500, you wrote: Hi,Was wondering if anyone has ever been on Carbatrol?I am now on it, 200mg starting out, at night. Guest guest
Hi Lynn, Last summer and this summer, where we live in WA state (on the border of Portland, OR) we have had record high temperatures. Last year I told and that if it was as hot the next year as it was last year I would get central air conditioning put in. I knew already this May that we would get the central a/c put in and it was was done in June. It has been so nice for both the girls since neither of them have been able to tolerate heat throughout their lives. It has been nice for me to not have to lift the heavy window a/c in and out of the windows. My other daughter, , often gets very red and hot on her skin and the same thing now happens to . does seem to be weaker now. We went to the Josh Groban concert last night and we needed a strong fellow to get into the van because her legs were like jello. Edna, and , too Good Morning Edna, How are you this morning? Guest guest
Good Morning Edna, and ; I am sure the centeral air is a blessing. We only have the one room air and we do not take it out of the window. When that side of the room was where I spent most of my time wanted the air up on High. Now his hospital bed is over there and he turns it off everyday shortly after he sits down there. LOL but the good part of that is that the heat also is on that side of the room so I may not be burning up in the winter either. has copd and diabetes as well as high blood pressure. He is finally aware of just how serious he is and is trying to follow the rules about eating and exercise and breathing treatments. Did you all enjoy the concert? I understand that they are a lot of fun and I am sure that I would have enjoyed going if I had gotten the chance or should I say made the chance to go. I know my children love them. I have been to a few restaurants and bars just to listen to the bands. Some of which I knew members or leaders of. In one case I knew the Mother of the leader and she had no way to get there and it was within an hours drive so I took her. I did so enjoy this visits so I am sure I would have enjoyed the concerts also. , when you gets red and hot is it in one place or all over? My forehead gets red and I breakout in a sweat first on the forehead and then all over and I think my bp goes up. The last visit to my gp it happened while I was being examed. , I have had Jello legs and that is not fun but I have sit down in the stores before because it would happen all of a sudden and I did not want to fall. That was fun in a way just to watch the people as they walked by. Edna, I know you were asking someone else about the banding but I will share my latest banding which is still going on. My right leg about 1 1/2 inches below the knee it feels like a wide rubberband is tight there. Anyway that is my interpretation of banding. Make it a good day and May you enjoy the blessing of God. wishing you and yoursLove and Happiness;Flowers and Butterflies Lynn (Moderator/Helper) Re: carbatrol Hi Lynn,Last summer and this summer, where we live in WA state (on the border of Portland, OR) we have had record high temperatures. Guest guest
Hi Lynn, The concert was okay. had a huge seizure right before Josh came out to sing, so our big Josh fan, , missed the whole thing. We go to concerts whenever any come along that I think and would like, and some that they may not like. didn't like it too much so we probably wouldn't attend another one, but Josh Groban is a wonderful singer. He had an orchestra with him and had a local school choir sing a song with him. I'll answer your question for , since she cannot do it for herself. When gets red it is only where something has been touching her, although her left cheek (the redness does not extend to her ear) is red and hot a lot. Thanks for the interpretation of banding. I wish could indicate in some way where she hurts, but the Neurontin must be helping her because she doesn't cry all day now. This week we will be going to the Oregon state fair, which will thrill (she doesn't like going), but we go every year. loved going to Disneyland every year when I had a babysitter for . loved all of it, including the plane trip, which always made me nauseated.
