Hashi's antibodies and " significanty abnormal " ??? Uh-oh... Colleen, with Hashi's the goal is supposed to be fully replacing all the thyroid hormones the thyroid would make and doing that with desiccated thyroid. That's so the antibodies will stop attacking the thyroid and destroying it. Taking something to lower antibodies is also necessary. (selenium/magnesium, etc)... So, I hope at the very least this is what your dotor is doing for you...
