Guest guest
I am not a native Montanan. I am a Tennessee gal (well technically born in Kansas and raised in Ohio until 1994 but a Tennessee gal nevertheless) but I don't have much of a southern drawl unless I am very tired, very angry or talking to one of my friends from " down home. " I can't quite give up all my funny southern words consequently, dh has picked them up. haha KayleneWhoIsOftenHomesickForTheSmokeyMountainsAndMySonWhoStillLivesThere >Lyndi wrote: > > One of the nice things about people from Montana is that they sound > > just like people from Saskatchewan and Alberta :-) > > -- > > Homesick Lyndi > > _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger! For some reason, I haven't picked up any of the local stuff, nor have I picked up hubby's more southern accent. Every time I go home, someone invariably says with obvious relief, " Oh thank goodness, you still sound like yourself!!! Guest guest
I'm also a Tennessee gal, born and raised in Nashville, lived on the Cumberland Plateau about 14 years, now I'm in Northern Alabama and love it here! I tell my friends from around the country and world that THEY have the accent, not me. LOL My fiance' is a Alabama fan all the way, has the memorabilia around to prove it. LOL I think he needs a bit of orange with it all to make it look better, he disagrees. LOL For Xmas I got him a Tennessee glass LOL I drink out of it of course. Oh well, I'll still wear my Tennessee shirts and risk it when out of the house...live dangerously I say. What part of Tennessee are you from, you mentioned the Smokey Mt. are you from around there?
