Hello All.

My name is Luke, I am from UK and I have had PG for a number of years. In the

last 2 years I have had a particularly bad flare-up on my lower leg. It started

as an area approx 2 inchs in diameter but grew quite rapidly, it was treated

with surgery ( yes I know it was a mistake NOW ) at first with a debridement

which expanded the area to approx 10 inchs diameter and that was followed by a

skin graft which failed. I have been dressed with pressure bandages for the past

16 months ( approx ) and have been through several therapies including steroids,

immune suppressents ( cyclosporin then mycophenolate mofetil ) Have also been

usinf a LOT of painkillers. In the past 16 months I have gone from extreme

ulcers to partial skin coverage and then back again to an open ulcer. I am

frankly getting fed up with it and am not entirely convinced that the treatment

is doing me much good. By joining this group, I hope to find people who could

maybe advise me or make sugestions or maybe just sympathise!! I do have pictures

which have been taken at several stages but they arent pleasant to look at,

however if they assist in a conversation, I am willing to post them if

requested.

Hoping to find some hope here.

Luke
