Charley missed us. When I heard it was doing a little damage in

Orlando, I started to worry. But we were prepared anyway, you know,

bottled water, batteries, etc. They did ask for an voluntary evacuation

of the island, but I don't think very many people left. It rained hard

and blew a bit but it started turning north just after the edge of it

was passing over Orlando. Orlando's damage was light compared to the

west coast tho. They got hit hard. I was in the Ft. Lauderdale area

when hit and that was really bad. was the first time I

had seen horzontal rain and the trees were blowing horizontally too.

There were nurses going to the hospital to work the next day in

rowboats.

My parents stay at Avon Park Fl. during the winter and dad called to see if everything on there mobil home was ok. They had one mobile home in the mobile home cammunity damaged.
