Guest guest
Hi Hannah,An early sign of metallic mercury toxicity is headaches. Once chronic symptoms can be varied; tremor, gingivitis, over-excitement leading to insomnia, shyness, memory loss, nervousness and anorexia, forgetfulness and fatigue. Genova diagnostics do urine mineral toxicity tests.A cheaper method would be hair analysis tests.Selenium protects against mercury toxicity and can reduce it, similarly Vitamin E and antioxidants. Sulphur containing amino acids which are found in onions and garlic also help protect remove mercury from the system. Below is information on heavy metal chelating agents I have on my computer. A herb I have listed which acts as a chelating agent for heavy metals is coriander. Menzies-Trull's book quotes Allium, Propolis to chelate and Iris and Smilax specifically to remove Mercury.
