Guest guest
Anyone treated cryptosporidium? Have a friend who contracted it probably while canoeing 12 days ago - ended up in hospital isolation unit, with neurological symptoms including visual disturbances and fits, as well as the diarrhoea, and has residual arthopathy, abnormal liver function (was jaundiced, now resolving) and fatigue. Have started him on milk thistle while I think about it, but would appreciate any ideas. Thanks, Alison
Guest guest
Bilberry leaves? Some time ago I was visiting a medieval hospital site in the ish borders (Soutra Aisle) with the archeologist who had been digging there. He mentioned about an outbreak of crytosporidium in Glasgow a few years ago (via contaminated water supply) and that bilberry leaves had been helpful in this outbreak. It was mentioned because in thier excavations they had found remains of bilberry seeds in the drains and one thing led to another. Sorry I'm a bit hazy about it, but it was some time ago.
