Find Answers with the New HealthTalk Search

HealthTalk has just launched a powerful new Search tool on our site designed to make it easier for you to find the answers you need, when you need them. In fact, now you can quickly track down a range of viewpoints from a number of trusted sites using our Search.

We know that HealthTalk isn't the only site you visit for multiple sclerosis information. You want to back up the expert information we provide by looking up information from other sources. (We do the same thing, whether it's researching a topic for one of our programs or checking up on symptoms, diagnosis or treatment information for one of our own family members!) It's always a good idea to get a second opinion, and - thanks to the rich resources on the Internet - you can sometimes find three or four.

We urge you to try out the new HealthTalk Search and send us your feedback by rating each search you make and providing comments using the fields at the bottom of each results page. You can also send us feedback about any specific problem.

We'll be adding more trusted sites over time; feel free to send us your suggestions and we'll check them out.

HealthTalk Launches New Studio

In our ongoing effort to improve our programs, HealthTalk has launched a new state-of-the-art recording studio at our Seattle headquarters.

The result is that we have much finer control over the audio quality of our live and recorded programs, making them easier to hear when you connect over the Internet and on the phone for call-in programs. This will help you better understand vital details and medical jargon during our in-depth treatment discussions.

You should also see faster turnaround time for audio highlights, which generally appear on the Web site a few weeks after a live program airs.

This is the one of several improvements to our programs and Web site that you'll be hearing about during the next few months. Stay tuned.

Replay: Employment Issues and MS

Did you miss our most recent program on employment issues? If so, you missed some great tips on:

Reducing stress Talking to your boss and co-workers Modifying your work space Requesting accommodations

The program also featured dramatizations based on real issues that you told us that you've faced on the job. This was our first program in our new studio, so be sure to listen so you can hear the improvements to audio quality.
