Guest guest
Beverly, I believe they are referred to as "floaters". They occur in some instances....for example after I had my Lasik surgery on my eyes the eye doc told me if I experience this to go in asap. This also occurs in MS I believe (optic neuritis)...anyone else confirm this too? You are doing the right thing by going to the eye dr ASAP! Please let us know how you come out, you will be in my thoughts. God Bless Kim in Nebraska eyes Has anyone had funny spots/floater things just appear in their eyes? yes, I am waiting for the neuro office to open.... Guest guest
Hi Bev, Check out the "Floaters" that could be a symptom of a detached retina. Regards, Tom
Guest guest
Yes..I have floaters..I have learned to get use to them. Apparently there is nothing they can do to remove them. I started out with optic neuritis and That was the end result..Well, that and My right eye went from 20/20 to 20/60..If there is a way to correct it..I don't know about..I am so use to it now, I hardly know they are there now. If I am really tired I will see them. They look like little (excuse my being so frank here) spirm cells under a magnifying glass. Guest guest
Let us know how you are! thanks......it seems I have lots of floaters and they will come and go....he said all the rest is from the MS and so, I will be going in the hospital in the am for IV steroids (will have 6 pills to take by mouth tonight as he wanted me in now but I have no place for my kids)....am having a very hard time finding anyone to care for the kids for a few days....sucks! Guest guest
I hope you find out what is causing your floaters, a I'm sorry, I missed this.....he said age and they don't really know.....but they are here to stay...argghhh.....anyone been on IV steroids? what should I expect? Guest guest
Good luck! I wish I lived close enough to help out kid-wise, I know how it is, that is one reason we moved to Nebraska to be with my Mom! that is so kind....my mom simply said to let her know if I wanted her to do anything (which translates to *as long as it is not much*)...my daughter has type 1 diabetes and my son has neuro issues and is bipolar...they can be a handful.... Guest guest
IV steroids effect everyone differently. For me it raised my blood pressure very high. They sometimes will give you something to help you sleep because you have the feeling of wanting to "go-go-go". Good luck and take care, let us know how you feel when you get out of the hospital. Are you doing this IV treatment in-patient or out-patient? Kim thanks for answering...I will be inpatient.....now to get all the medical supplies together for my kids...... Guest guest
I hope you find out what is causing your floaters, and that it is not major. I have had them for many years on and off. Mine, they say, are from the migraines, even though I get them more often than I get the pain. Let us know how you are! Guest guest
Any kid can be a handful! It just depends on the day, or the mood, or the moon, or what side of the bed they got up on...LOL I feel very blessed to have the Mom I do, we are great friends. We have been living with her for over a year, and no big issues have come up, other than the fact that my son was bored silly here, that is one reason he enlisted. Hope all goes well for you. Guest guest
educated and responsible decisions. Good luck, and take care. thank you, ....I have been on oral steroids before and although I gained 20 pounds and my body systems became quite unstable they did help...so, given the situation with my vision, I feel I have to try even though I said I would never take them again either....it is not too hard on me ordering a scooter (haha) but the thought of loosing my vision, well, that is another story....so I will try, knowing it may not work..... Guest guest
do u take vitamines too? B1 B6 B12 ,specially B1,are used in high dosis as neurotropics, they would make the nervers strongger.
