Guest guest
, Sounds like all your muscles are tight. I might suggest doing an easy walking warm up on the treadmill-about 5 minutes. Then do some gentle stretching. No bouncing or pulling. Just gentle stretches. Then see how your legs feel. Proceed with the aerobic. Stretch afterwards. I know, aerobic might be the last thing you want to do, but it will really help you with muscle soreness in the long run. emorrisjen wrote: > > I did my lower body workout yesterday morning and all day my legs were > weak and I had no strenght in them at all. Guest guest
Hi , sounds like you are off to a rough start. First the not feeling good after cardio and now the tightness after lower body. Did you stretch before and after your workout? I know that often people are in a hurry and only do one or the other, but doing both can really make a difference. I'm also addicted to Deep Heat (or Tiger Balm or Ben Gay) I put that on before I tighten up and usually it helps. I think the advice that gave was right on the money. Stretch and some slow walking on the treadmill or time on a bike, then straight to aerobics. you'll probably be sore again tomorrow, but gradually that goes away (to some degree) Rob robertbritt.com prosperitymodel.com > > > > I did my lower body workout yesterday morning and all day my legs were > > weak and I had no strenght in them at all. Guest guest
, just don't cover your entire body. I read a report recently where someone died from using too much Ben Gay. Andy I'm also addicted to Deep Heat (or Tiger Balm or > Ben Gay) I put that on before I tighten up and usually it helps. > I think the advice that gave was right on the money. Guest guest
Wow, that would be some serious ben gay usage. I sometimes have to hit my calves and hamstrings, but that isn't more that once or twice a month, maybe. It's usually if I feel like things are tightening beyond bormal and the stretching doesn't seem to be working... all over the body, that has to be a masochist. I've accidentally gotten some in 'tender places' or touched an eye, usually itching while applying - not thinking about the consequences. gotta watch that stuff. see ya Rob robertbritt.com prosperitymodel.com > I'm also addicted to Deep Heat (or Tiger Balm or > > Ben Gay) I put that on before I tighten up and usually it helps. > > I think the advice that gave was right on the money. Guest guest
Here's a link to the news story if you want more info. I don't think you are in any danger. Guest guest
Ah yes....the " I'm so sore, my hair follicles hurt " syndrome.? The best thing to do is the last thing you feel like doing...MOVE.? You are describing what it feels like to have a buildup of lactic acid in your muscles.? It hurts!? But, it is not a bad thing.? Just a sign that you have really given your muscles a workout.? No worries.? It will be gone in 72 hours, and will not ever be that bad again.? Try rubbing your legs, walking, bending them to your chest....just don't plant yourself in a chair. And...yes, definitely do your cardio today! Kelley Beginning Weight: 149 lbs. Goal Race: Hocking Hills 40K Trail Indian Run, Sep 22 Can't move!!! Guest guest
If it's lactic acid, a hot bath or sauna helps it break down. Kit Can't move!!!
