Guest guest
I see that there have been quite a few posts in the past about carpal hyperExt in young dogs, especially GSD's. We have worked with 3 in the past 4 years. We definitely do manual therapy and swimming with them for non-impact strengthening. We had custom orthotics made from K9 Prosthetics for the most recent patient who did well with them for about a month and then we never heard back from the client, even though he must have outgrown the orthotics. We have a new one coming in soon. Has anyone had experience long-term with these cases? As I've said, we have seen a few cases but the clients always " disappear " - not sure if they are unhappy with outcome, etc or what. I would just like to know more info about long-term cases - improvement?
