Greetings Dragon Slayers

It's me, old Cat...well, not OLD Cat, but not YOUNG Cat either..LOL never mind!

I wanted to post a welcome to all our new members. We always say the same

thing...sorry that you had to seek us out, but happy that we can be here for

y'all.

We old timers can't help but wonder if the disease is becoming more prevalent,

or that Doctor's are making the " connection " a great deal faster. Either way,

our members have grown by leaps and bounds.

You will not find a more caring and supportive mailing list. The questions that

you may need some answers to, are just a mouse click away. HOWEVER, please

remember that your Dr's are your most valuable commodity, and while we can swap

war stories, it is important that you take your concerns to your medical

professionals.

Living with Chronic Pain and Illness can be very debilitating, as I'm sure many

of you have found out, but there are a couple of different areas that are

reflected in SD. Obviously the first one is physical pain, but the one that can

be the most insidious is the Chronic Depression that can and usually does come

with it.

Everyone has to be aware of their psychological well-being as well as their

physical well being. When we are depressed we tend to isolate ourselves. That

can be a red flag.

Talk to someone about your depression, a Doctor, a psychologist, a counsellor.

There are many people here who will help you on your journey through SD. You

will have some great information and support.
