Guest guest
No, they are saying M.E , CFS and Fibromyalgia. And actually Desert Storm Syndrome. Just go to Whittemoore Institutes website and you can read more about it. http://www.wpinstitute.org/xmrv/index.html To: fibromyalgiacured From: tracijo505@... Guest guest
I am thinking that if this connection proves to be true then the contagion of it is minimal I read the article and it says that 67 percent of those with chronic fatigue had the virus in their blood stream. Also, that only 8 percent of people wihtout chronic fatigue had that same virus. Its like a virus that causes cancer, not a virus that causes flu and cold and is airborne. I have chronic fatigue and my husband does not. We have been married 36 years. So no way he caught it from me. So, I think the contagion part is mild. They are still doing studies, plus they said its about chronic fatigue not exactly fibro in the article. So if you have fibro, but not chronic fatigue, it would not apply to you. > > > > > > Hmmmm....I don't believe this. Guest guest
Thanks for that infor Carol. However, I do not think that contagion is a huge factor in this. The article doesn¹t really get into it. Its not like the cold and flu virus that is airborn and spreads easily. I have been married for 36 years and my husband does not have it, nor do my kids. So no contagion there. Thanks for sharing this. It is well worth watching. If you hear more please share that too ok? I am very interested in this. > > > > > > > Well I think that I am now at the very end of my rope. > > My husband is in Iraq and wont be home til next month, and I have just > > learned that our disease Fibromyalgia is a Retrovirus. > > Just like the hiv virus is also a retrovirus. Guest guest
Okay, fellow fibromyalgians, it is the same with me. My husband does not have it, has not gotten it, and isn't about to stop in getting around about to accidentally get it. I really believe this is just another little deciduous method of having us get off the medical communities' back and furthermore making us ashamed of appearing or wording our dilemma publicly so they won't have to hear it or deal with it. How many years have we asked for help with this disease? Some in the medical community are treating us as they treat our soldiers who are now coming back with diseases that they do not want to deal with, or refuse, or know how to deal with this man caused disasters. And how many time have they gone to congress to belittle and deny our soldiers of their diseases and treatment? Our disease has been pointed out to have several causes and we see it in our conversations with each other. These guys are just looking at one part but what about the whole??? It brings me back to the conversation I had with Dr. Cave who told me during the eighties that all the medical remedies and examinations come from the study of the male body not the female body. Thus there were no real medical answers to our dilemma of cancer, heart attacks, female disorders, and more(did you know during the sixties doctors would just tell the husband all that is wrong with your wife is she has female hysteria thus the name of 'hysterictomy', menopause). It was not until the late 1990's that doctors finally started studying the female body. And, so my friends, it is with us oddball 'diseasists'(new word from me). Who in the medical community wants to take us on??? Bah, they say, too much money, too much time, too many oddballs. I have lived too long, seen lies and truth too recognize a whitewash when I see it. Don't fall into this LIE. I say, HUMBUG. Humbug to all those who would rather put a shameful label on us rather than looking for the real cause of our predicament. I for one refuse to accept the label, as a matter of fact, I stump it on the ground, spit on it, kick it aside, wipe my hands, and say,' BRING IT ON'. Bring on the Truth, quit taking shortcuts, spend the money, give me the CURE, dummies(research doctors). It's that TIME. Angry as hail, M. >>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>> >>>> >> > >>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>> >>>> >> > >>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>> >>>> >> > >>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>> >>>> >> > >>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>> >>>> >> > >>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>> >>>> >> > This is not that important. and i >>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>> understand each other >> > because >>>> >> > we >>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>> >>> >> both >>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>> >>>> >> > come from the UK. Guest guest
Hi Carol, Please take a deep breath. How long have you known you had Fibro and CFS? I don't know of people that have died directly from Fibro and CFS. Maybe some have died from the hard core meds they take for it though. You can't even compare these to the Hiv virus. Don't focus on these conditions but instead learn how to get your immune system working at an optimal level. Read the book " Never Be Sick Again " and you will learn how to do this. Take baby steps and go from there. I just finished the book and that's what I'm doing. Healthy people usually don't get sick. There is one disease: cellular malfunction. Two causes:: Toxins and Deficiency. Six pathways: psychological, nutrition, physical, medical, genes, and toxicity. I would also do a good colon and then a liver cleanse. I have done Dr. Natura's in the past and really felt a difference. Although don't do a liver cleanse if you have silver fillings. They have mercury in them and some of the ingredients will redistribute the mercury. Read up on the why you should cleanse. It's not a scam, it's vital for good health. You must really miss your husband. I don't know how the spouses do it but I thank you and your husband. In my opinion you're both serving our country. ;-) Tammy In a message dated 10/10/2009 12:20:10 P.M. Guest guest
If I understood the writing correctly. The retroviruses only activate other viruses. So, we should not worry about being quarantined. If this helps solve how the disorder is activated, and moves in the body, it may help us to get another way to help ourselves. OK, more information in our arsenal against this. Currently I am going to take more doses of my concentrated black cherry juice and Apple Cider Vinegar with the garlic, onion, ginger, horseradish, cayenne pepper in it. I think I will also increase to two doses a day of the Fatigued to Fantasic supplements - I also take deribose. Lately I find myself not having the energy levels I usually have in the fall and winter. I am still taking Aleve BID and also the Alteril that has Tryptophan in it to avoid falling into depression. I intend to find a way to avoid the spring fibroflare and problem with cognition that comes with it. Guest guest
Hi Tammy, First,, let me say, Thank you with a big warm hug! It is a hard life that we live being separated all the time. Come next month, he gets to come home Yayyyyyy, but he will have been gone for a year. And yes, I feel like I'm in the Army too to be honest. I have been wanting that book actually, the never be sick again, infact ive been on the authors website. He wants a fortune for his Vitamins, which I was so entrigued by this guy, because I first learned about him on watching youtube videos of how he nearly died and then how Vitamin C brought his life back. It's actually because of him that I have a desk full of Vitamins sitting infront of me. However. I have been on Vitamins now for a few weeks, and I really don't feel any better for it. Well I told my husband tonight. We communicate on Yahoo with webcams daily. Thank god that we have that these days. Alot better then past deployments. I know alot of people don't want to accept that we might all have this virus but I dont think it would do any of any good to be in denial when it could lead to helping us get better. My husband isnt sick either, and we have been married for almost 18 years. Maybe this effects women more then what it does men? I have no idea. I guess we all will learn more as time goes by. I just wanted to let every one see the information that I had come across. I know that our illness has already been hard enough on all of us without having to hear that we all have the possibility of having this dreaded virus. But the fact remains that yes alot of people have died already from CFS, M.E or Fibro, how ever you want to call it. Personally I think that our illness and the Hiv virus was man made as chemical warfare. And trust me, I have been around the Military my entire life. I wouldnt put it past the Scientist's that has worked for the Military through out history. My husband is constantly having to take Anthrax shots and whatever else they want to give our Soldiers. Those Anthrax shots were first administered to our Soldiers back during Desert Storm. Well it was only a few short years after Desert Storm that I had falling ill with CFS and the Fibro... And look at how many Soldiers there is that came down with Desert Storm syndrome and yet they are all getting denied by the Army to even so much as recognised that they are indeed ill. Recently my husband all everyone else in his unit just had to take the swine flu shot... they arent even allowed to say oh no, not for me thanks.. They don't even have a choice in the matter. Because they belong to the government once they sign that paper and swear in. And then whatever maladys they get, they get to bring it home to their families. Ok, enough out of me from now. Guest guest
Oh no do not do that Carol. I think there are ways to say things that are positive and some are way too negative. Also, I think to compare it to HIV is a little over dramatic. I sense your fear but do not go there ok? Just be calm and follow the article and research. They said that they do not know if this virus causes chronic fatigue. They only know people with chronic fatigue have it. Also, there is a huge connection to celiac, and stomach stuff with viruses. So, just rest easy, let not yur heart be troubled. This is only one article and its incomplete at this point. Do not disturb your husband like this. He has enough on his plate right now. Send him love and care and that is all. There is plenty of time when he gets home to check this out further. It is incomplete at this point. Do not jump the gun ok? > > > > > > I have both too, and I have no clue how to break this open to > > my husband. He's still in Iraq. Guest guest
Good for you maria I agree. BRING ON THE CURE! Stop giving us drugs and scary partial prognosises. We are better at curing our self than they are by far. I love your courage and your spunk. Guest guest
Hey Jill. If you look up viruses and holistic solutions for them you are doing a bunch of them. Onion, garlic ginger horseradish and cayenne pepper are all antifungal and help break up viruses. There is NO known drug for viruses. It is a weak immune system that allows them to get out of hand. They live in our body all the time, but when we get weak they get a toe hold and then multiply. So, keep your cocktail going. Hey, can you send me how much of this and that you put in there. I think I will give it a shot myself. Thanks Jill > > > > > If I understood the writing correctly. The retroviruses only activate other > viruses. So, we should not worry about being quarantined. Guest guest
Wow Tammy. Good for you pointing this out to me. Guest guest
I'm into herbal healing as well, and would like to point out that, also curcumin, turmeric, and cinnamon are also great for helping fighting off unwanted nastys in our bodies. Fennel,, and also Taragon are great for making tea, so is Ginger. All very healing. Carol To: fibromyalgiacured From: rosemarie@... Guest guest
Also another great thing to do is to drink a glass of water first thing in the morning with some freshly squeezed lemon juice in it. And if you check your ph balance as I do, if your too asidic you could add a quarter tsp of baking soda to your water too, to raise your body to more of an alkaline state. Guest guest
Carol, it sounds like when you tell your husband that you think you will be telling him you have a sexually transmitted disease. When I read the article, I did not get that kind of take on it. Please pray to understand the truth of what it is actually and how it applies to you and your family and then pass that information on to him. You have not done anything wrong, illegal, or sinful for having this condition. If you need to, check that out in prayer and meditation with Heavenly Father. Guest guest
Good information here, I concur. This disease is not a death sentence for the afflicted nor for the family. Personally, I have learned a lot about myself under this condition. Because of the pain, I have learned to be patient with myself, to not judge against myself, to avoid comparing myself with others. The varying levels of functionality have taught me to seize each day and to celebrate whatever I can do each day. I do what I can each day and then let go of the self- imposed necessity to do more than I can. Heavenly Father has advised us to not attempt to run faster than we are able. Well, this is one condition that teaches me what that really means each day. I have to stay close to Heavenly Father to get through each day - but that's for every human anyway. What have the people around me learned? They learn to love me just the way I am - not for what I can do for them. Then they can also give that to themselves and others. To give loving service, to look at their judgments of me, themselves and anyone else. I've had this disorder for so many years. I want to be more functional too. I tend to note the symptoms and then look for answers. I found in the library the Fibromyalgia Advocate book in the large book area, it is written by doctors who have written the text books used to teach about this disease. There actually are classes for the students now. The doctors are being encouraged to treat this holistically. Mostly what I have seen working better is a diet high in vegetables and fruits - fresher the better even if they get cooked to eat. Enough protein for your body so the body can break it down to get the amino acids needed. My body has absorption problems due to allergies to wheat, rye and barley. I have checked myself with corn, soy etc and I can eat them as long as I don't overdo it. At my age, my intestines may not recover completely, so I take liquid multivitamins and minerals. I take supplements that have nutrients which are in a form that the body can absorb, since my body has trouble absorbing them from foods. Avoiding toxin-laden beverages like alcohol helps tremendously. Taking in clean beverages like water helps too. An inexpensive way to filter the water, if necessary, is with something you can attach to your faucet. Today I woke up with a headache and the common pains throughout my body - that means to me that I need to increase the water. Carol, my heart goes out to you. Keep in prayer so you don't get into a state of mind where this seems worse than it actually is. Please allow yourself to learn how this disease affects you as an individual. We are all with you in this, I will add you in my prayers. Jill in TX > > > Hi Carol, > > Please take a deep breath. Guest guest
Oh wow.... I have actually already talked to my husband about this, and yes this disease is passed on through bodily fluids or blood tranfusions but that does not mean that any of us has cheated on our husbands or that our husbands have cheated on us, or that we have given each other a sexually transmitted disease. I was not a virgin before I met my husband and neither was he. However knowing that it is stating that the virus is a (contageous disease) is never a good thing. For all we know our parents could have had this and passed it on down to us, because really and truly none of know how long we have had this in our body. I am spiritually in touch with God, but thankyou for your concerns. Carol To: fibromyalgiacured From: gray04red@... Guest guest
I agree, one thing we do not want to put any one of our military more stress during the battlefield tour. Can you imagine someone being distracted in the same time while trying to fight the enemy? I feel a little free to see this since my son is also in Iraq. Pardon me if I sound too strong. Wait until and make sure we know the TRUTH. I say these studies are still theories. I have heard so much in the thirty five years I have had this desease. Wait until all facts are found. Guest guest
Not making lite of your note, Jill, but you made me see something funny. In your sentence, " Our Heavenly Father had advised us to not attempt to run faster than we have to.... " I laughed seeing myself trying to run as my buttocks are in pain( that's where my fibro begins). You are correct Our Father knows what is best for us...maybe to learn the lessons of patience, kindness, and Love. Guest guest
Fist off, I want you to know I don't have any financial interest in these companies at all. I have used the information and gotten fairly good results. I need to increase the amounts I use. I have seen a report from one person from our group who said she got great pain-relieving. I'd be happy to give the recipe. It's from Dr. Shultz's book and video. He also has a web site. I'm telling you this due to copyright infringement laws. What I did is on the New Moon - It is advised to use the freshest, organically grown herbs for this. (I may have adjusted this to my taste a bit - and I could only find some of these in the regular supermarket). I ground up in my blender: 1 handful or approximately 1 cup of chopped onion (a hot white kind - not the yellow or sweet Valencia etc), a chopped entire large head of garlic (NOT elephant garlic), Chinese horseradish 1/2 of a root chopped, habanero and jalapeno peppers seeds and all chopped - about 1 cup, a hunk of ginger the size of my palm peeled and chopped up. I filled the blender almost to the top with Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar So, you will probably need to protect yourself by not touching any mucus membranes or your eyes while doing the chopping of the peppers. You put it in a glass container that has a lid and let it sit in a dark cupboard until the full moon. You then have a choice - strain out the vegetables and herbs or leave them in. It is hot, tangy and tasty. To use it - begin with 1 dropper-full and then increase as you desire. Distilled water is recommended to drink it in. I have however put honey in it as well as my black cherry concentrate (I still get a warm flash) and I have been known to put 2-3 droppers full into my sodas. I can then justify them. LOL. If you don't want to deal with all that you can order it exclusively from: American Botanical Pharmacy. Call 800-HerbDoc. Fax or write: P.O. Box 3628, Santa , CA 90408. From the user manual pg 109. I got the information from a video and book called " When Nothing Else Works...Top Ten Herbs to CURE Big Diseases. The Author is Sam Biser, the publisher is Save Your Life Videos, Inc. I don't know the publishing date. The video and user manual can be purchased from Save Your Life Viceos, P.O. Box 8122, Van Nuys, CA 91409-8122. I hope this information works for you.
