I've been going insane being at home all the time, been really unhappy. So we plan a trip to Wet 'n Wild. Supposed to go up Friday night, get a room and go to Wet n Wild in the morning. Well, my kids and I went to Rita's Italian Ice on Thursday night and came back home. When we were almost home, we started smelling something burning. We pulled into the driveway and when we got out we smelled something sort of like an electrical burn. The next morning a mechanic came to the house, checked the van over and said that he suspected something wrong with the right front brakes (I can't for the life of me remember why!), but everything seemed to be working fine. They took it for a ride and it started again. They came back, he bled the brakes. It worked ok when I went to Walmart, but I was driving my son to work to get his check and we had to pull over because it felt like the brakes were sticking. I called the mechanic, he came to where we were and changed out the brake line. Went and got his check, but on the way home, it did it again. We pulled over and it was smokin'! Let it cool down, drove home. The mechanic came to the house to change the caliper. Seemed to be working fine afterwards. We started out this morning to Wet n Wild. Decided to go the long way to 95 or the turnpike so if it was going to happen, we wouldn't be too far from home. Well, we got about 3 - 4 miles from home and it did it again! So we went and ate breakfast while it cooled down, then we headed home. We made it home, the hubby went to the auto store to get a master cylinder. He gets it, it's the right part, puts it in and the hook up from the van doesn't fit the cylinder! So he's got to go get some other parts to match up and make everything fit! What a pain in the @$$!

It would have been nice to get away from here for a whole day. Maybe next weekend.

Rhonda when I married my wife Judy we took our honeymoon in Florida from Indiana and it was my first time to wet and wild I loved that place and we had so much fun.

My wife Judy, her parents use to own a second home in Palm Harbor.

For my wife and I it always when things are going great something always seems to crop up to ruin things. Your trouble, been there done that.

I hope your husband gets your van up and running again so you can try it again soon.

Here are a few wedding photo's I have on my personal web site.

We finally did get to go yesterday. It was a lot of fun, but I feel like crap today. I am burnt to a crisp and just *hurt* all over. Even feel sick to my stomach. I got way too much sun, but the water felt great, at least for the first several hours, then the water was cold, the air was cold and I was exhausted. So instead of ruining everyone elses fun, I told them I was going to go out to the van and for them to *please* stay and have fun. They closed at 5 and it was 3:30, so I wasn't out there too long. It was my first time to Wet n Wild!

I don't think we're too far from Palm Harbor. Of course I could be wrong, there's a lot of things down here that are named "Palm" something. Palm Beach, Palm City, Palm Bay.........the list goes on. Pretty places, but I'll be honest, I am really hating Florida. Too damn hot & humid! Of course I say that and it's supposed to be in the 40's tonight! It doesn't get cool down here much, so I took all the shelves out of my fridge so I could stand in it when I get really hot! (jk, but it's a thought) I'm thinking of renting a place in Arizona, a cave sounds nice, but don't think bears take cash!

Your wedding pics are really nice. Looks like it was a beautiful wedding. We didn't have a big wedding. Hubby was AWOL from the Marines, wouldn't go back til I married him, so we got married in a hurry and he went back to base.

I have wanted to try the scrapbooking stuff, but I am clueless. I've been told by many different people that I am artistic, but I haven't a clue what they are talkin' about! I think maybe the mean my daughter, now she's artistic! I may try it (or something), I've gathered a bunch of pics together, but not sure what, exactly, I'm gonna do with them. Maybe I'll ask my daughter! *grin*

When were were going on our honeymoon we drove the car that is in our wedding photo's and we made a big mistake of having the convertable top down driving to Florida, by the time we got to Florida we were toasted pretty good. We did not do much the first few days we were in Florida.

Last April for the first time since getting my MS in Aug of 99 we took our first vacation. We went and stayed with my parents in Avon Florida. They purchased a mobil home there a few years ago to use as a winter home. We stayed for a week and went to Disney World on Wednesday. I have a terrible time with heat and it is really hard on my MS. I made the mistake of staying in the sun too long during there daily Disney parade. The heat was so rough on me I had to use my wheelchair all the time for about a month. It had me worried and thought I would be in that wheelchair for ever. I was glad it was a temporary thing. I use a walker all the time and any more if I can just use my walker I feel like I am back to normal.

Here are some photo's from our Disney trip.

The heat problem is the one thing I really dislike about my MS because I love warm weather. I have missed watching my son's play there summer sports because of the heat. I think this summer I may look into getting one of those cooling vests. Do you have trouble with the heat?

Bill, I do have problems with this heat here!

I´m very unlucky:

born in this tropical country, hate the sun/summer and have MS!
