Guest guest
Lee, We had to put 's Prilosec through her tube also. We mixed baking soda and water, then the granules dissolved in it. I can't remember the exact amounts of soda and water, but our ENT told us how to do it. Then it was just liquid to put throught her tube, and was quite easy to do. Do you have to put the granules through the tube??? G

Guest guest
I tried putting the granules through the tube, boy did it rehydrate my son! I kept using plain water, and pressuring the syringe like a tuba player, but the granules are basically large enough to get stuck in the port and strain the water - we use a mic-key button. Question - melting the granules in baking soda and water - does that eliminate the timed released aspect of the medication, and how might this affect it effectiveness? just wondering .... yuka
