narrow ureter causing spasm

I think this is a bona fide enquiry - but will be interested to see your

responses. A male px has booked in for next Tuesday with the following PC:

he has a ureter which is too narrow on one side and doesn't drain the left

kidney efficiently. He can have intense pain in his kidneys through what he

thinks is a spasm lasting 6 - 15 hours, drinking a lot of water helps. Alcohol

makes things worse and he drinks very little nowadays. His energy levels are

about 85% of what they used to be. He has had 3 operations and also acupuncture

and tried homeopathy.

He did say that sexual function was affected too.

How can I tell if he is bona fide? Has anyone else been contacted by this

person?

Also, any tips on treating him would be valued.
