Guest guest Posted October 7, 1999 Report Share Posted October 7, 1999 Steffi, The only immune deficiency type test (really not a test for that, but it is related) was the FISH test on her chromosones, which can show deletion of the 22nd chromosone, which can be Di Sequence, which can include immune deficiency. Just a blood test. Guest guest Posted October 10, 1999 Report Share Posted October 10, 1999 Steffi, Sorry it has taken me so long on my emails I have gotten behind due to that & I have been sick. His pediatrician recamened that a Infectious Disease Doctor see him and test him for it. I would talk to his ped., and see what they think. I had never heard of it either until then. They also said that they had thought about it before but you have to be off steriods for a while before they can test. The reason is that they knock the immune systmen down a little bit and to get a true reading you have to stay off of them for a little bit. I would just talk to the ped., the next time you see him/her. I hope that it helps.
