Hi Carol and Others, I too am a newbie. I am a 47 year old mom and grandma, but I am also a black belt in karate, so I am not really out of shape, but have cut my training down to three days and my waist shows it. I started with the "Get Ripped" and today (day three) I am 100% addicted. I love it. I do it at 5 am and my energy has already soared through out the day. I love the fact that I can share this with folks who know how it feels. You all keep me posted and Thank You to all who have welcomed me.

I am new here and am so very happy to have a group like this for support. I ordered the TaeBo Live set on Ebay, got it today, and did the instructional video twice. WOW! I knew I was out of shape, but not this badly LOL. I'm a mom of 3 kids...an 8yo stepdaughter, a 2 yo biological son, and a 7 week old boy. I am doing TaeBo to lose weight and gain energy so that I can keep up with them. I don't want to be a fat mom forever.I am really amazed at how inspiring can be. Just the simple "Keep your chin up" made me feel like I can accomplish this stuff.I'm going to keep doing the instructional tape for a while...at least until I gain some more flexibility, then I will move onto the basic tape. It might take me some time, but I believe I can do it

Hi Carol,

I have a 7wk old too! She was born 3-6-05. I also have a 5yr old

daughter. I'm also a newbie, and wanted to let you know that there is

another mom out there for support during these early months with baby.

Its so hard to make working out a priority when you are nursing and

caring for a new one all day, but I find if I work out immediately

after laying her down for a nap before ANYTHING ELSE. No cleaning or

office work (I work at home) before Tae Bo. It just has to be that way

with me or it will never work.

Good luck and keep in touch!

Hello all and what a wonderful site this is....I love tae-bo but and

I use to do it all the time...fell off the wagon and now I am getting

back on...I worked out yesterday and plan on doing it again...time

permitting...soccer mom here and practice is today along with dinner

and other single mother duties so if I can squeeze it in...even just

a half hour it will be done...

let me introduce myself, I am 27 and a single mother of a 10 year

old, and i would like to lose about 15 - 20 pounds and finding this

site i believe it can happen...i plan on sticking with tae-bo since i

had such great success in the past...i hope that i get lots of

support and motivation as i think i will....i just mostly need the

encouragement and i know that just by browsing at this site i will

get it.

if its not a problem i think i will keep daily until I am in the

zone...it takes me a while to get in the zone of working out but once

i am in it, i am in it....until i loose 10 lbs then i have a habit of

stopping to make sure i can maintain then once again it takes me

awile to get back on...this time i am determined to get the 20 lbs

off first then i will maintain....wish me luck and i will post again

tomorrow...my offical first day back on the Tae-bo...any suggestions

feel free to tell me...thank

Tasha

You know what's scary Akiba? I inadvertently last night took my morning pills instead of my night pills. Well in my morning pills is my Provigil -- I still slept like a baby last night! I swear I can lay down and sleep any time of the day or night!! I am always tired it seems. Stupid fatigue!

Hi Connie,

I live about 45 mins. from Atlanta in a town called Snellville. My husband took a new job here. I was a little scary at first since I grew up in Cleveland. My two boys are in the 7th and 8th grade and this has been the hardest on them. Tough age to move. They are making friends and starting to get invited places now. I know it will get better for them. My only daughter is now living in Florida and going to school. I miss her so much, but I guess they all leave eventually!! I've enjoyed reading all the post from this group. Everyone is so supportive and friendly. Are you tired all the time? I seems I can't make it through a day without a nap and sometimes even two. I just was wondering if this is common or is it just me. Have a great night.

I know. They've given me a ton of different pills and they all might as well be sugar pills for al the good they do. The only pills I ever feel any kind of effect from are some supplements, for example the Bromelian that Challis told me about has almost healed my carpal tunnel. If I run out, in a matter of days I notice it, when I get more it "goes away" again.

How 'bout them canes? Wilma is wreaking havoc. I'm glad "she"s weakening a bit, wish "she"d speed up, I'm worried "she"ll stall over land at this rate, and I have friends in the area "she"s headed for. This whole hurricane season is beyond absurd.

Welcome aboard, Dawn! :o)

I'm Challis... wife of , Mother of (18½), (15), Jenna (5), Maya (2) and Mothering/raised my ½-brother Josh (19).

I have symptoms but no dx... I ignored my schtuff for years, too. I only began actively trying to find answers a bit over a year ago. That didn't work out for me either. LOL Now, I'm waiting till I see the next Neuro. No immediate plans, but lots of thinking about it. <g>

My Mother has MS. She birthed this list and talked me into joining, right about a year ago. These people are wonderful! :o)

It's nice to meet you.

Challis

Hi all, I was recently diagnosed with ms and thought it would do me some good to talk with people who would understand. I've been having pain in my limbs for over two years and dizzy spells for about five years. Bladder problems on and off for a few years and eye pain with blurred vision. I have not started on any treatment as of yet. My gp put me on neurotin, lortab, and flexeril. This does seem to help. I recently moved to georgia from ohio, so I kind of started over with the doctors and testing. I guess some of this is my own fault, since I tried to pretend there was nothing wrong with me. As dr. phill would say, How's that working for you?... Not so good!!! Anyway, I'm happy to have found you all and hope to get to know as many of you as i can.Have a great day,Dawn
