Guest guest
Dear Annette, I was strolling through the messages and read this one and after I stopped cussing I just had to say, Please find another doctor, what an arrogant creep. My doc has a lot of knee pain from basketball. Maybe that's what you need a doctor that knows what a little pain feels like. I wonder if calling down the names in the yellow pages and asking the receptionist " has the doctor ever had a lot of pain or any painful chronic conditions? " One of the posts said something about a shrink. If you don't have one, you might want to get an anziety disorder or something because mine is wonderful about writing big prescribtions for Klonipin. I also grind my teeth, and read that klonipin has non-seizure features and helps with teeth grinding, and it does. It also helped my severe headaches. So I asked him for klonipin. All the other Docs I was seeing at the time were scared to death to write a tiny script for it. My shrink writes 160 refilable X 3 I don't even take it everyday. But, when I need it, it's great! I'm doing a slow burn in your behalf, and then I'll be saying a prayer for you, Pam severe insomnia he wrote me a prescrition for peanut butter and jeely sandwiches and milk while watching TV! Guest guest
Hi Pam, Thanks for writing. I have quit that Dr. but he helped me with my viral encephalitis which nobody beleives in. That he beleived in until I had a baby. I actually was having seizures too which nobody beleived or the severe insomnia, about 2 hours of sleep a week. I went to a psychiatrist I used to see and he did give me anti seizure meds Depakote which I ran out of and nobody would giv me and Klonopin which nobody would put me back on either. He is great. I wish the Klonopin helped me w/ anxiety. Ever since I was taken off all my meds cold turkey and in a coma from that, I have a paradoxical affect to meds and anti depressants and anti anxiety meds cause anxiety and anger. I even throw things. We tried every anti dpressant, anti seizure, tranqu., anti psychotic everything for my sleep but nothing worked. I either get the oppossite or I stay awake, Actually I have not slept in 2 days. I am under alot of stress too which is adding to my insomnis right now but I would be in worse shape w/out my shrink. I wish he could be my neurologist or internist b/c he understands al my problems but can only give me meds that he can give out as a sshrink. Depakote can be used for manice depression and Klonopin for anxiety but u get them for seizures and sleep. he is great. Every Dr. who understands my problems and is nice has their own speciality and cannot help me. My GI Dr. feels bad for me too. My (former) Dr. is 90 and plays golf. Never been sick but doesn't know his mind is going! Please pray I find another Dr. someday. I had a good one but he retired early without telling me in Jan. of 2001 and his partner put me in a coma. He told me to get off my *ss and exercise and that I am imagining I have been sick all these years. If I waasn't sick, why did he put me in a nursing home??? Thanks Pam, Annette
Guest guest
Hi Raven, (you Goth) (KIDDING) I know they look at you and form a judgement. I was a junior in college when I got sick and so they had to diagnose that I wanted to get out of college (even though I brought my books to the hospital with me). I had a friend who was a musician and they treated her like you, she wanted drugs. Kava and Melatonin make me paranoid for some reason. I do take 2 mg. Klonopin and Depakote. Some nights it helps, some not. I also need to learn to relax but now i have added stress. I have way too much stress in my life and my mind won't shut down either to sleep. So much is negative around me besides my own health. The Klonopin used to work better, now it seems I am always tired though even if I do sleep but I am always needing to catch up on sleep. I can go days without any so if then i get 8 hours, I am still 24 behind, so always needing more. I sleep at all odd hours too which doesn't help. Thanks for caring!
