That is *SO* funny!

Ah the blessing and curse of having a verbal autistic child! I have one of

each. Marilla is not as verbal as , but what she does say she says

incessantly! By the way, did you know that " The needle is furry! " " The needle

is furry! " " The needle is furry! " " The needle is furry! " " The needle is

furry! " " The needle is furry! " " The needle is furry! " " The needle is furry! "

" The needle is furry! " " The needle is furry! " " The needle is furry! " ?

I finally say, " The needle is NOT Furry! Be Quiet Already! " and Marilla falls

down laughing.

I am so glad she is talking more.... but couldn't she say something ELSE once in

a while?

played a trick on me!!!!!!!!

Of course, he gets me while I'm peeing and have nowhere to go....

Standing in the doorway of the bathroom, he folds his hands together, gives me

a sweet smile, and softly says, " Mommy, you the best...greatest...UNDERWEAR HEAD

LOL

BTW, for those of you going, " she's so lucky, he's so verbal, " just ask Amy H

and over again, " , make your mouth quiet " as he babbled and jargoned and

gurgled...

These bits of silliness and then Marilla saying that furry needle bit and

laughing when finally corrects her.

You know, what nitwit was it who decided that people with autism had no

sense of humor? Putter finds many things funny.

I strongly suspect that autistic people consider that we NT types have no

sense of humor, that we fail to catch the subtleties of their jokes ( " It

takes her ages to get the response right to " It's a furry needle, " says

Marilla to Sherman, " She's nice enough but, boy, is she dumb. " Sherman,

" Oh, well, she can't help it. I thought it was funny. I think it is some

kind of brain damage that they suffer early in their development. " Marilla,

" SSSHH, she's coming, we can't let her hear us talking like this. " )

-Thats cute. I find that " make your mouth quiet " never works, they

just go with babbling, jargoning, perseverating, on and on. What's an

underwear head anyway, LoL. Well, he thinks its funny.

You know, it works when Kara does it. It fails miserably when I say it.

How about this. " go to shea stadium " " play baseball " " take a

train " " go to blue circus " (another name for shea stadium " " Its

blue " " stars come out at shea stadium " " its dark blue " . Lately

its " make coocky " " made a coocky " " me coocky " apparently beaches

come in different colors too- " beach in a blue water " " beach in a red

water " then there all the times he calls things by different names

and thinks its hilarious-now he calls my hand " candy " which is

actually kinda nice, because candy is sweet-isnt it.

If there was a piece of thread left on it, could that make it look

Salli,

Thats so funny. Yep, it was some bunch of stuffy old doctors who said

that autistic people do not have a sense of humor. I think that My

definitely thinks Im stupid when I fail to see what's so funny

when he calls the home therapist " daddy " now if he called an empty

wallet " daddy " that would be funny.
