READING THE BODY

A two day seminar on patient assessment with Margi Flint, Herbalist AHG

Organised by Guy Waddell, Herbalist URHP

This seminar is open to herbalists, naturopaths and students of these

disciplines and other complementary medicine practitioners who wish to develop

additional diagnostic skills. Attendance certificates will be issued.

The seminar will cover:

ÿ Facial signs – including tongue, ears, eyes, mouth and nose and their

organ/body correspondences. Also nail signs.

ÿ Significance of tissue colour in diagnosis.

ÿ Signs of hot, cold, damp and dry conditions.

ÿ Elimination analysis by stool and urine appearance.

This will be an interactive class. The weekend will be spent partly in

lecture and partly in looking at the face, tongue and nails of participants.

Margi Flint has been practising western herbal medicine for 30 years. She

lives and works in Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA. Margi is Adjunct Professor at

North Shore Community College, The Tufts University School of Medicine and is

a regular lecturer at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. She regularly cond

ucts practitioner seminars. Her teachers include Wood, Winston,

LeSassier and Rosemary Gladstar.

Dates: Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd December 2006, 9.30am to 5.00pm both days.

Venue: Regent's College, London NW1.

Cost: £110 (£95 for students)
