Guest guest Posted August 16, 2009 Report Share Posted August 16, 2009 Hi Dawn, I tested negative on the bloodwork also but once i started the gf diet i felt a lot better for a short time but then had symptoms again which is hopefully just gut damage from years of eating gluten. My Dr. included the genetic testing (Prometheus Lab) and I carry the DQ8 celiac gene. I hope to be able to tolerate more foods as my gut heals more. I had started the Specific Carbohydrate diet about 11 months ago and it helped so much more than just going gluten free. I started on the homemade goat milk yogurt pretty early into the diet and it helped my gut pain but started giving me brain fog which i think i may be intolerant to casein. Anyway since stopping the goat milk yogurt about 2 weeks ago i have been going more regular - i think it was constipating me also. I hope you continue to feel much better gluten free and don't have any other food intolerances (dairy, soy, corn, gf grains, etc.) - it sounds like just eliminating gluten is key for you so that is great! __________________________________________________ Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
