Guest guest
Dear Alice, I forgot that the protestant Bible does not have the Book Of Wisdom, which comes right after the Song of Songs in the Catholic Bible. For anyone who loves Sophia, it is a pleasure to read.Chapter 7 v21- All that is hidden, all that is plain, I have come to know, Instructed by Wisdom who designed them all. For with in her is a spirit, intelligent, holy unique,manifold,subtle...... verse 25; She is the breathe of the power of G-d, pure emination of the glory of the Almighty; hence nothing impure can find a way into her. She is a reflection of the Eternal light, untarnished mirror of G-d's active power, image of his goodness. Although alone, she can doall;'herself unchanging, she makes all things new. In each generattion she passes into holy souls, She makes them friends of G-d and prophets; for G-d loves only the man that lives with Wisdom. She is indeed more splendid than the sun, she outshines all the constellations; compared with light, she takes first place.for light must yield to night, but over Wisdom evil can never triumph. She deployes her strength from one end of the earth to the other, ordering all things for good.( chapter 8, v. 1) You probably are familiar with this, but since it is not in any protestant edition I thought you ,ight like to have it. love, Toni I add verse 3:of chapter 8: Her closeness to G-d lends luster to her noble birth, since the Lord of All has loved her.
