Hi Liz

I've just bought a vitamix for a community project

here in Bristol. It's like totally awesome, as they

say across the pond - and needs to be, as it cost

nearly 500 quid. It'll reduce your turmeric to a fine

powder in a matter of seconds. Highly recommended if

you can justify the cost.

And my Vitamix is still doing it well after nine

I have an old, stainless vitamix that I bought, used last year. It must

be 10-15 years old and works as if it is new. Highly recommended, and

much less expensive if you can find one " gently worn " .

Cheers,

Kerry

HI Liz,

I was recently at a mind, body, spirit show in ,London and

there was a guy there selling the vitamix thingys. I'm sure he's

probably at all thier shows so maybe keep an eye out if there's one

coming your way not sure where your located.

I should have mentioned as well: mine is a used commercial Vitamix. A

" Maxi 4000 " if that's of any help. I saw on the Vitamix website a while

back they were offering discounts to those who would trade in their old

stainless Vitamix for a new " improved " plastic one.

Not likely.

Cheers,

Kerry

Dear Emmett

To be honest I haven't actually tried whole turmeric.

I tend to buy it ground already from the local Indian

supermarket. But it will grind most other things to a

fine enough powder to encapsulate.

Hello again folks,

I too have recurrent coffee grinder breakages, but as I want to

start juicing fresh herbs, I have been thinking about investing in a

Champion Juicer (commercial) They have a grain attachment for

grinding grains and coffee beans. I just wondered if that was likely

to be as good as the vitamix?? Thoughts anyone?

Hi Max, could you put some details about the vitamix on the list? ie. where

to get it.

Thanks, Marilena.

Hi Marilena

try

http://www.countrylife-restaurant.co.uk/vitamix.htm

or

http://www.ukjuicers.com/

or

http://www.ethicaljuicers.co.uk/

although what makes that last one any more ethical

than anyone else is beyond me!
