Guest guest
IMHO it will probably take you till your next " free " day to rid your system of the booze. Rather counter-productive, I'd say. Why not just one once a month? Unless you'd only have one on your free day.......... Z. (who is NOT a teetotaler, just choose to not have ANY 99% of the time) First post of the year! Yay! In yo' face! Heh, knowing my luck after posting this someone or two or three people would make a post. This year I've made the goal to lean back up becauuuuuuuuuuuuuse.... I'm fat. :-P After many years of being a two job johnny or low wage johnny, earlier on last year I hooked myself up with a vendor job so I'm actually making a livable wage. It only took until the age of 31 to get it, call me slow. The biggest problem I had though was getting back into the near compulsive habbit of exercise and nutrition. There were times when I used to be so into working out times like today, gym being closed for new year, would drive me nuts. Also the mysery food I'd consume after going home turned into, for lack of a better term, happy food after finally getting a livable wage. For example I wouldn't go to the the grocery store to get a 99c pizza and wash it down with a 12 pack because I was depressed anymore, I'd do it because, " Yay, it's tuesday! " November I got really diguested with how I looked because as I've always said before, " I know better. " I was smart enough to realize that'll be hard to do during the last two months of the year with thansgiving and christmas, and oh yeah last night too. I just kept with the habbit of going to the gym and didn't put a massive focus on nutrition. Now it's a new year and time to get rid of the jiggle. Just to put it simple for now I am currently 231lbs with a 41 inch waist. Long term, by my birthday july 3rd I want to loose about 40lbs and get down to my lowest which was 183 from a few years ago. I'll be able to better figure out my strategy two weeks into this due to losing a lot of bloating from water weight, and totally giving up carbonated beverages except free day beer. What do you think I am? Crazy?!? I'll be more specific with my goals later. For now I want to run off and make a doctors appointment. I thought it'd be cool to get a full physical before and after, not to mention get a physical period since I actually have health insurance. YAy! Guest guest
It actually takes an hour for your body to process a glass of wine, shot of alcohol or bottle of beer, but I still see your point. I'm not going to do the amount I typically did in a day. Just enough to enjoy the taste and the moment. Then start back on monday. Guest guest
Matt, Welcome back and congrats on the new job! I know that has been an issue for you in the past. Good luck getting back on track. I'm doing the same and starting today. I've had my fun eating over the holidays and now I hope to lose about 5 lbs and go from there.
