Hi Hils

has gone back to Australia - I was trying to contact her myself

recently re cat with recurrent bladder infections. In absentia , and

not knowing the answer myself, may I suggest you pick the brains of either

Hilton Herbs or Dorwest Herbs (both have websites, so Google for them....)

These are both firms which specialise in herbs for animals, so may be able

to help. Contact at Dorwest is Boughton - don't have a contact for

Hilton I'm afraid. Good luck to you and !

Hello,

Yes, GLS can be given to cats at a dose of 250 mg per day (divided doses

would be best). Like all who receive GLS (humans included) sometimes it

works, sometimes not. If you don't notice any improvement in a few

weeks, it might be best to move onto another form of therapy: I would go

for herbs or homeopathy, depending on the cause of the condition. A

good, homemade diet also works wonders for cats and dogs!

Cheers,

Kerry

Be patient with it--Glucosamine Sulfate can often take 3 to 6 months to

build up in the system to cause any effects/benefits. Also, sometimes it

just has a stabilizing effect on the degeneration, and so there are no

" improvements " , per se, but it holds back the progression of degenerative

arthritis. Perhaps additional anti-inflammatory care would be prudent to

cut the inflammatory cascade and resulting tissue damage.
