Guest guest
Hi Everyone,I saw the eye doc today, and now, 6 hours later, after sleeping most of the dilation off, am still surrounded by bright rainbows, although they're not as blinding any more. The doc was great! I told him my story and he actually knew about Lyme and what perscriptions would be bad for it. He said my eyes are quiet now, that what I did for them worked (CS and DMSO drops) and if they flare up again, my remedies are obviously working! I can hardly believe it! There may be some problems years hence, for there are some not-so-healthy cells (Lyme) in my cornea which could make any cataract surgery (I have a very slight beginning) more complicated, but he said that what I'm doing to manage the Lyme may eventually heal those. I'll still see the uveitis specialist from Boston when he comes to Albany in May, just to be safe, but I'm feeling very relieved. And now, if I have trouble, I have a local doc who at least knows my history. Now if I can just get my pupils back down to size! Here's looking at you, kids!Be well, LŽna They'd be great in a file, bc newbies need translation and when explaining things to them, spelling it all out can get tiring.Yay! on the mag working! I have an appt. with eye doc this morning and sleep was a dotted line. °, L I can add thoseÉ it was just a generic list I foundÉ. Just thought itÕd be a good base to work with! I can add those to the other listÉ can I post it to the files section? I guess so, huhÉ IÕll do thatÉ might wait until tomorrow coz IÕm getting sleepy! ItÕs weird coz itÕs only 9pm here and IÕm usually up until 11 or so! Extra magnesium must be kicking in! LOL! Any takers? =) Be well, LŽna I found this somewhere and stole itÉ J At least itÕs a start and we can more easily add to it. I've been busy with complications at home and a rather uncontrollable herx (more to come this). I would like to offer, however, to post any useful links, files, protocols, tests, etc. to the files section of our sister group. I know many of you, like me, have saved emails that have good info in them. Things such as PKU testing, or magnesium oil protocol and suppliers, good brands of FIR saunas, etc. If all of us work together, we can have an amazing archive of subject organized files. If you have something and would like for me to file it on the sister group - just put 'To be filed" or "' or something like that in the subject line. I am really down in the dumps, physically, right now, but I would like to try and do this. Be well,
Guest guest
Hi Lena, Good to hear this was a nice positive visit and what you are doing is working... I don't have eye issues, but my wife does and I know just how sensitive this can be as she is so very careful with her eyes and eyesight... Hopefully you will improve from here... Guest guest
Hi Lena, I have an optometrist and ophthalmologist, both in the same office, who know about Lyme and it's effect. That say my problems are from Lyme and it is in my records for my ins. co. My problem is severe dryness which causes inflammation. I use a 4 different eye drops and have punctal plugs (plugs for tear ducts). Plus, they told me to take EPA. Many of my drs. comment that my Lyme is causing this problem or that, so I hope it is going in their notes, so my ins. won't consider cutting my abx treatment short. I guess I shouldn't be too worried as I am going into my 3rd yr. of abx soon. jan > > Hi Everyone, > > I saw the eye doc today, and now, 6 hours later, after sleeping most > of the dilation off, am still surrounded by bright rainbows, although > they're not as blinding any more. > > The doc was great! Guest guest
Hi Lena, With uvetis, do you get sharp pain at times in your eyes? For about a month I occasionally get sharp pain that lasts just a second in my left eye, as quick as it comes, it is gone and I get this a few times a week... This just started, never had it before and just wondering if you have any knowledge about this... Thanks, Jim >
Guest guest
HI Lena, Thanks... All I get are the sharp stabs, none of the other... Very uncomfortable for a few seconds, but then it is over.. I wasn't initially even concerned, but my history tells of things snowballing... My eye is never bloodshot... Interesting yours can be seen from so far... Now that you mention it, I believe these stabs do happen later in the day probably when I am a lot more tired... Thanks again, Jim > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
In adults uveitis can cause redness, pain and pressure, but in children there are no symptoms, it is a silent eye disease which is the third leading cause of preventable blindness in the US. Children should have their eyes examined at age six months, three years, and every year during the school years by an opthomologist who dialates their eyes with a slit lamp. This is the only way to see uveitis which is inflammation located on the inside of the eye. Since one of the causes of uveitis is lyme, I would think parents and people with lyme would want get their eyes checked regularly. 80% of children in the US do not get proper eye exams. We have a uveitis patients helping patients yahoo group that focuses on natural remedies.
Guest guest
Hi Lena, (That was my grandmother's name, except I don't know if she had an accent mark in hers. I never saw it written. She was Belgian.) My LLMD was made well with Bicillin LA, so I hope to be, too. She did tell me at the get-go I wouldn't be cured, but that the treatment will just keep things from getting worse and that somethings might improve. She said it will get the Bb down to where I can just go on maintenance like her. Maintenance being supporting the body and immune system. I am using Rife, too and may continue with CC plus salt/C as maintenance plus whatever sups she has me continue. (I don't know if she continues to take CC herself, or not.) As far as my gut, I have ulcerative colitis (I believe from the Lyme), so don't know if abx will help or hurt. So far, so good. I read one dr's article that said our immune systems aren't stupid and that so called autoimmune disorders are really from bacteria, then he listed a few that have been proven to be such. He said he treats IBD with abx. As far as my eyes go, my dr. is hoping to be able to wean me off of the steroid drops and just have me continue with the Restasis and Systane (otc). I, also, have allergy eye drops and am told I must use them when I have any sign of allergy in my eyes. jan > > Hi Jan, > Having had disastrous consequences after abx for mycoplasma pneumonia > many years ago, when I had as-yet-undiagnosed Lyme, I cannot comment > on abx, but am glad if it's working for you. > > My concern for me would be its side-effects on the digestive tract, > as was the case for me, or driving the critters into dormancy, or the > sequelae if I ever then stopped abx.
