Guest guest
Hi! Any scientists out there? What is the different between PEG and propylene glycol? I'm considering a supplement for my ds that contains propylene glycol. Thank you!
Guest guest
I misspoke - it's not their newest product, it's an older one called Gut Flora Defense (http://www.standardprocess.com/display/MediHerbCatalog.spi?ID=1291). Thanks for all this info. I know PEG is dangerous (we've lived for over 5 years now with it's side-effects), but I wasn't sure about proplyene glycol, as it's just slightly different than PEG. Hi Tracie, I'm sorry, but I'm new to this group. I guess I should be responding via the miralax website. I joined because of my experience with prescription drugs over the years... being over-medicated and not understanding the importance of nutrition. When our pediatrician told us about Juice Plus+ nine years ago, it quite literally changed our family's lives. My daughter was able to avoid surgery for ear drains and I finally put behind me twelve years of suffering with allergies, sinus infections, bronchitis (and two bouts of pneumonia). And, in this learning process, I found that the antibiotics and many meds were severely compromising my immune system, making me highly susceptible to illness. Once we found better health, I began my mission to help others. My business partner, Annette, and I work closely in analyzing products. Annette is a certified nutritional consultant. Propylene glycol is not only dangerous to ingest, but also dangerous to put in skincare products. However, she does say that Standard Process has been known to have integrity in producing it's whole food products. We work with many doctors and health professionals that recommend Standard Process and we are very dissapointed with this product. All glycol ingredients are petroleum derivatives that act as solvents and wetting agents. These can weaken cellular structure and cause reproductive damage. If you do enough research online, you will find the dangers, yet our wonderful (???!!!) FDA approves many dangerous ingredients. I went on the website and searched this ingredient and found BRAND B supplement which also contains FD & C colors, also dangerous for consumption. My business partner, Annette, and I use Alphazelle products (skincare products). Here is their documentation on dangerous ingredients: http://www.alphazelle.com/big12.html May I ask which supplement you are considering? B. I don't understand why a company, claiming to use only natural and whole-foods supplements would put this in a supplement? This is a company I use a lot for supp's and this is their newest one. Guest guest
found this on a car care website. http://aprogroupindia.com/product.php Chemical Based Coolant P.E.G ANAD MEG FORMULA Ethylene glycol and propylene glycol are chemically similar. Ethylene glycol has the chemical formula C2H6O2. Propylene has the chemical formula C3H8O2. Ethylene glycol has a slightly higher boiling point than propylene glycol. Ethylene glycol is less expensive to produce and is more widely used. Propylene glycol is less toxic. > > Hi! > Any scientists out there? What is the different between PEG and > propylene glycol?
