WOW You are so right -- and as I'm seemingly " springing " up the

stairs (what a feeling for an 53 yr old) I try to imagine carrying a

load around my shoulders and middle dragging on all of me -- that

equals what I've lost so far (75# -- and a plateau of nearly 7 wks

now) -- Ugh -- that's heavy! At those times, I reflect and feel so

thankful for everything and everyone that contributed to my successful

pursuit of and recovery from WLS. I KNOW I was blessed by a

relatively smooth pre-op time, even with the postponements and health

flare-ups that were really jacking up my anxiety and stress. And a

pretty good post-op transition to the " other side. "

I am now praying that everyone who considers WLS is able to do the

research, make the appropriate choices in their WLS professionals and

gather in enough " stuff " so that they and those assisting and tending

to them make the right good care of themselves.....as they, too, are

thought of as " strange " everytime someone passes them and notices that

they have a secret smile on thier face as they climb the stairs.

It's a wonderful feeling, isn't it?
