Guest guest
Hello everyone, Have been looking at past messages regarding this condition and saw that Lorraine had treated it successfully with TCM strategies. This seemed to be treating spleen/liver deficiencies? Lorraine, would you be able to elaborate as I can't match western herbs to chinese thinking as have no idea about TCM. Westernly, I presume that Crataegus and Carduus are useful for protection....but what would protect the pancreas best? Berb aq? Would any herbs aiding absorption adversely increase iron absorption? And what of herbs iron contents....did you worry about this Lorraine? The patient, at present, has plebotomy and dietary measures, and primarily wants me to treat her hypertension. But I need to think of the full picture, of course! And as you can see, I've thought of alot of questions! Much thanks in advance for any thoughts on this. Guest guest
I wondered if tannin containing herbs and perhaps good old PG tips taken black, might be appropriate as symptomatic measures. Just off the top of my head though, not supported by any experience or research. Regards Sue Salmon Huddersfield.
